Revision as of 11:42, 27 May 2021

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Voltron, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Alan Marriott. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:57, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Merger of Sven and Shiro

I disagree with the merger of Shiro and Sven. I have started a discussion at Talk:Sven (Voltron) if you are intetested. Dwanyewest (talk)

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Dawn of the Dead (2004 film), it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Character article recreation

Hello, I see you have recreated a number of character articles. However, there is a high likelihood that they will be returned to redirects as they fail WP:GNG. Specifically, GNG states that the sources must be secondary and also significant, while your articles contain only trivial mentions from secondary sources. I am just informing you so that you do not waste your time and effort on articles that are unlikely to stay for very long. If you are unsure of whether a character article is notable you should ask first on WP:VG before spending time expanding it.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 02:23, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dynamo 5

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for working to improve the site with your edit to Dynamo 5, as we really appreciate your participation. However, the portion of the edit concerning the Certain Death book had to be reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept uncited material. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. If you ever have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. Incorrect piping in Disambiguation pages

I have just reverted then re-added the new content in the two disambiguation pages for Persephone and Eleanor Rigby. Please do not use piping in these disambiguation pages. See the Manual of Style for disambiguation for details, MOS:DABNAME.--FeralOink (talk) 18:45, 17 May 2021 (UTC) Information icon Thank you for your edit to the disambiguation page Persephone (disambiguation). However, please note that disambiguation pages are not articles; rather, they are meant to help readers find a specific article quickly and easily. From the disambiguation dos and don'ts, you should:[reply]

  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry
    • Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links or references

Please do not pipe article entries on disambiguation pages FeralOink (talk) 18:58, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Ryo Ishibashi.JPG

Thanks for uploading File:Ryo Ishibashi.JPG. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Dylsss(talk contribs) 23:14, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I noticed that you made this article and I appreciate your contributions! I'm curious if you copied/split content from anywhere else, though? I don't often see people write a whole new article like that in one revision - there's nothing wrong with doing so, I'd just like to make sure. Thanks! Elli (talk | contribs) 19:54, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Elli: I was going to create it from scratch, and then saw Draft:Army of the Dead (franchise), removed Dawn of the Dead and added to the opening lines. Milkine (talk) 20:23, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I see. In the future, I'd recommend moving instead of copying for attribution purposes. I'll request a histmerge. Elli (talk | contribs) 21:00, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation pages

Milkine, please remember that disambiguation pages such as Biscuit (disambiguation), Myrtle, Scanner, Quinceañera (disambiguation), and Easter (disambiguation) should have only one blue link, and the entry title should not be piped, as per WP:Disambiguation do's and don'ts. Thanks, Leschnei (talk) 00:13, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
