similar sounding song

I was doing some shopping at a local Duane Reade here in Brooklyn. Over the loudspeaker, a song was playing. It featured a woman singing. (It also had a similar sound and upbeat tempo to "Salsa Heat" by Michael Sembello.) The chorus consisted of "Lace up my broken heart. Lace up my broken heart, boy". Does anybody know what the song is, and who sings it?2603:7000:8106:C149:493C:1AB0:98FF:EB53 (talk) 03:09, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The chorus of "Cross My Broken Heart" starts with the repeated line "Cross my broken heart, boy." Might that be it?  --Lambiam 12:35, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The Jets, who sang "Cross My Broken Heart", released it in 1987 and it was a top-10 hit. Being that both The Jets and Michael Sembello were working at the same time, pop music of the 1980s, it is likely that the songs would sound similar. --Jayron32 16:12, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That's it. Thank you so much.2603:7000:8106:C149:7485:C31C:8914:ACFE (talk) 04:20, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Scene From A Sitcom - Can't Remember The Show

I don't know why, but partial memories of this scene have been stuck in my head for a month, and it's driving me crazy. All I remember is there was white guy working somewhere (think he was a main or recurring character, new to the job). A black coworker says something about the white guy not being black (something along those lines). The white guy gestures to another white character that works there and asks "what about him?" The black character says "Him,he's blacker than I am." I have no idea what show this might be, or even why it's stuck in my brain, I don't even remember if it was from something I actually liked, but, whatever the reason, I need to figure it out. (The show was in the US, by the way). Thanks for any help.2601:547:1:4EE0:C136:93AE:D1F9:AC02 (talk) 11:44, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I typed "he's blacker than I am" into a popular search engine and the first hit was a reference to Workaholics.--Shantavira|feed me 12:08, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much! According to my search history suggestion, I tried that, but used me instead of I am, no idea why. Saw it a friend's house, randomly in the background, instantly game back as soon as I saw a pic. That was driving me crazy.2601:547:1:4EE0:C136:93AE:D1F9:AC02 (talk) 12:35, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Presidents of NBC Universal Television Group

In the succession box for Jeff Zucker, it says that his successor as President of NBC Universal Television Group is unknown. I tried to find out on this to add the information, but, unfortunately, I was unable to find a reliable source on that issue, in fact. Can anybody help out? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Regards--Hildeoc (talk) 20:10, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

NBCUniversal came into development season with a newly configured management team led by the troika of Susan Rovner as chair of NBCUniversal Television and Streaming; Frances Berwick as chair of entertainment networks, and Pearlena Igbokwe, who was promoted to head all of NBCU’s TV production operations as chair of Universal Studio Group last September.

@2603:6081:1C00:1187:EC40:B2AE:BE0E:8875: Thanks, but I'm actually asking who took over the above position (President of NBC Universal Television Group) from Zucker in 2007 …--Hildeoc (talk) 21:19, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I used the Wayback Machine to find some a few archived links that may provide a clue:

That day, July 5, 2007, was a few months after Zucker was promoted to CEO of the entire company. There is no President of NBC Universal Television Group listed there, but there are still presidents for the individual divisions such as NBC News (Steve Capus), NBC Universal Sports and Olympics (Dick Ebersol), and NBC Universal Television Stations and Network Operations (Jay Ireland). My only conclusion was that the position of President of NBC Universal Television Group was eliminated, and thus its responsibilities was added to Zucker's CEO job.

I was also looking at this. It was archived after the acquisition of NBC Universal by Comcast and Steve Burke is the CEO. On the left side of the page is a list of all the NBC Universal businesses, and there is no "NBC Universal Television Group" is listed per se.

This, with the Executive Team listed in the middle of the page, is before NBCUniversal Television Group was reorganized into NBCUniversal Television and Streaming in January 2019. Again, no separate head of NBCUniversal Television Group per se, but there is Mark Lazarus as Chairman of NBC Broadcasting and Sports, Andrew Lack as Chairman of NBC News, among others.

That is the current live version on nbcuniversal.com, with Mark Lazarus now as the chairman of NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. See also NBCUniversal Television and Streaming#Broadcast, Cable, Sports and News, where is says that he was promoted to that position in April 2020. Hope this helps. I'll leave it to you decide what the best course of action would be with this. Ideally, it would be better to actually find a reliable source that explicitly explains how the responsibilities of the NBC Universal executives changed when Zucker was promoted in 2007, but I also having trouble finding that.
