The Supreme Sikh Society of New Zealand is a registered charity responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of gurdwaras, educational institutions and sports facilities. The Society is the largest Sikh organisation in New Zealand.
In 2020, the Society became the first Sikh organisation to receive the People's Choice NZ Food Heroes Award out of 345 other organisations nominated for the large-scale food distribution to people in need during the COVID-19 lockdowns.[1]
