I wonder whether she was the first: it could be argued that [[Hilma_af_Klint|Hilda af Klint]] produced abstracts as early as 1906, [https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2021/jun/15/hilma-af-klints-miraculous-art-in-dialogue-with-spirits-she-found-her-own-voice although her work was hidden for many years]. But maybe "first in Swedish ''history''" excludes someone whose abstract weren't exhibited very much.
It would be interesting to hear from some expert on 20th century Swedish art.

I wonder whether she was the first: it could be argued that Hilda af Klint produced abstracts as early as 1906, although her work was hidden for many years. But maybe "first in Swedish history" excludes someone whose abstract weren't exhibited very much.
