Revision as of 04:06, 2 July 2021

Hi, about the logo maybe I will do it later as I am busy developing the Johor article. Molecule Extraction (talk) 12:15, 14 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. That is what I want to do too after I finish expanding the article. Molecule Extraction (talk) 12:33, 14 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, but most of the other table list will be trimmed soon like in the Sabah, Sarawak, Pahang and even Malaysia articles as to achieve a good article status we need to focus more on paragraph content. About the language, don't mind about that, my English is not perfect too. Molecule Extraction (talk) 13:08, 14 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Johor, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Muar (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).

Excessive state flags on Districts of Malaysia

Please read WP:MOSFLAGS before reverting someone edits. Molecule Extraction (talk) 12:46, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean by making the list "insufficient"? Even though there are less state flags in the table, readers still can see the comparison as I did not remove the density section. Per Wikipedia policy, there is no need for similar flags to be repeated many times in the table, this is not a football article. Molecule Extraction (talk) 12:53, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You are doing a mistake again. Through the policy, that doesn't mean you need to remove all the state flags. Can you actually see the real comparison? We should just use one flag for recognition of each state. Another thing is that why don't we just mention the state name for once? No need to repeat it many times like the flag. See the comparison again. Then there is after your recent revert, all the modification to the East Malaysian state name also removed. Molecule Extraction (talk) 13:09, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Per Sorting guidelines, after reading this I do think the sorting problem can be fixed by making it unsortable, can you give it a try before I make the whole modification? We should stop from engaging reverting each other edits continuously as other patrollers will think that we are involved in edit war. I let you to do the test first and after that leave a response on my talkpage on what result did you get. Molecule Extraction (talk) 13:33, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

What do you think? Is it okay now? This is the same with the last modification by me except the table is now unsortable. Haha, OK, Ok, Sori lahh. Actually I was a bit shocked when after spending much time (for an half hour) to do the table modification (while still figuring what to do next for other errors that will occurred), then when I refresh the page suddenly all was going erased. I thought you are being disagree with any change to the article without a reason. Molecule Extraction (talk) 13:52, 17 January 2018 (UTC) [reply]

Haha, alright. Yes, Wikipedian do always have a dispute even between those who come from the same country. But both of you guys also need to refrain from reverting each other and should discuss in the talkpage and work together as a teammate as both of you come from the same country (I think you and him are living in the state of Penang, am I correct?) Honestly, I also don't like to arguing with someone here over simple matters as I feel it is just wasting time. About the list, I think the Districts of Malaysia article already covering the population numbers. Molecule Extraction (talk) 15:13, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Nowadays I have been rarely making a major work on list article. This year I need to spend more time to expand an article to achieve the GA status (Johor not finished yet). Which cities article list that you mean? There are plenty of them here. Molecule Extraction (talk) 15:32, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sarawak district population

Thank you on your correction for Sarawak. Actually I do note about the population in their state government website, but I'm stuck in the density and the district area size because their district articles are not even complete in Wikipedia with many red links. You can continue add the population numbers because I need to read several books now to continue the expansion on the article I want to develop as it's already been three days since I temporary skip on the article while doing other minor edits in other topics. Re: Perak district map

Is it good now? I think it's good enough.

I faffed around with the colors a bit. I didn't use the color scheme in the map you sent because I wanted the background to have more contrast, though I still tried to make the colors brighter than before.

I'm very much not a graphic designer, so if you think the color scheme in the Chinese version is definitely better, I'll change it. SyahirSQRT2 (talk) 12:46, 22 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I did try to apply the four color theorem for the map: the new map did distribute the 4 colors equally across the 12 districts. But I think you're right about the "too colorful and not friendly" part. The greater contrast could make people think there's some significance of one district over another, or something, and the background shouldn't be too explicit -- the borders, place names and cities may be more important.
I revised it (and so should the people in the Kampar district office -- why'd they remix the original, sans-LMS district label?). Also, I may be the author of that map, but couldn't anyone upload a newer version of it if think it helps? This is a collaborative encyclopedia, after all. Information icon Hello, I'm Stvbastian. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help Desk. Hi *angys*, please do not make any conclusions based solely on your personal understanding. Based on your editting in Ng Hui Lin and Ng Hui Ern pages, you said that "Since they represent that state, they should born at that place. Maybe Seremban or other town. But you have prove that they born at Kuala Lumpur? If no please use this." Those such statements are only guessing comprehension without a reliable source. In this case please read WP:BLP.

Representing a state in a competition doesn't mean the person born in that state. I'll give you an example: Lee Chong Wei was born in Bagan Serai, Perak, but in Sukma Games, he represented Penang. See: 1, 2.

Hello. On those three, I will try to do the first one slowly. The second and the third seems a bit hard. But I will still try to do it. Actually my friend currently using his computer more frequently in this month for his work (most of my graphics tool are located there), so I can only create SVG when I can use his computer. This also currently affects the current process to develop article since I can only do minor tasks through my tablet. Molecule Extraction (talk) 06:22, 20 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I still can accept the statement from both of the Chinese editor (including the one who help to reduce the file size under fair use) as the "logo design of Sabah Heritage Party itself are complicated with those resembling Sulu boats and wheat in a handshake", the only thing that vague is the rule in Wikimedia Commons.  Done Actually all this mess related to copyright of Malaysian political parties, state or even city/towns symbols, government ministers pictures and also their meeting pictures etc. will be easier if the Malaysian government passed a special law regarding its use in Wikimedia Project or for other educational purposes like what we see in neighbouring countries of {{PD-IDGov}} (Indonesia), {{PD-PhilippinesGov}} (Philippines) and {{PD-TH-exempt}} (Thailand) but I don't think the government seems to care a lot over this simple matters as for now most complex logos (as well to what I have mentioned above) will be free only after 50 years (except to simple geometric shape and font symbols) while the "freest thing" will be only to government related documents as seen here {{PD-Malaysia}} which are similar to the law in {{PD-VietnamGov}} (Vietnam). About Sandakan, it is not very reddish because the percentage vote of Wong Tien Fatt is 48.0% (45%+) compared to Chan Foong Hin in Kota Kinabalu which is more reddish with 56.3% (55%+). About Penang and Klang Valley, it is very dark reddish since the percentage of vote especially to the Democratic Action Party (DAP) is more than 70% and 60% respectively. Some confusion on the colour templates

Hi *angys*, there seems to be some confusion in regards to assigning a colour template to parties like PPBM, DAP, PKR and AMANAH. Why are we using one colour for all the parties. We have been using different colours for the parties since 2008.Lazybugger13A (talk) 18:25, 12 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies, but if I may add to this argument. These parties contested in a de facto coalition known as Pakatan Harapan. Also, what is different this time is that all the four parties contested under one single banner (that of the PKR), unlike in the previous elections where each of the opposition parties had campaigned with separate emblems.[1] In light of these recent developments, using a single color scheme for the four parties would seem appropriate, IMHO. Vnonymous (talk) 00:12, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the contest was using the PKR logo, because the Registrar of Societies didn't approve the Pakatan Harapan. So in the last minute they used the PKR logo. This is not about the election contest but who is sitting in the parliament and the state assemblies. But they are all belonging from different parties - PKR, AMANAH, PPBM and DAP. They are part of a loose coalition which is Pakatan Harapan. I hope that clears this matter.
Also I would like to add that PAS is the only winner for Gagasan Sejahtera. No other party in GS won other than PAS. We should just stick with PAS party colours.Lazybugger13A (talk) 02:01, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Regardless of the motives and circumstances behind the single logo used by Pakatan Harapan, the fact remains that all four parties contested using one symbol. Did Amanah campaign using its banner? Ditto to DAP and PPBM. So a single color scheme to reflect this move should be adopted. It should also be noted that those Barisan Nasional representatives are from different parties as well - UMNO, MCA, MIC, Gerakan and so on.
Yes, PAS is the only party in the Gagasan Sejahtera coalition to have won seats. So is UMNO in the Barisan Nasional (the two BN seats are won by UMNO).
And have you read MOS:DUPLINK? What does this proviso say: ... if helpful for readers, a link may be repeated in infoboxes, tables, image captions, footnotes, hatnotes, and at the first occurrence after the lead? Vnonymous (talk) 03:07, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Vnonymous:@Lazybugger13A:IMHO, Seen but it is after I clear the link. And for me Peninsular Pakatan Harapn use light blue for this time, Sabah Sarawak keep using their party colour. Maybe next election they can use Pakatan Harapan logo and to that time we can use red for them. Gagasan Sejahtera uses PAS symbol, so I think they should use green too and for BN since they still a “party” in the EC namelist, just keep it as BN-UMNO. BN also have 1 MCA seat and PBB in East Malaysia, not all UMNO. angys (Talk Talk) 05:14, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Vnonymous:@*angys*:, I don't disagree with the fact that all parties used the same logo. Every party has their own logo, but they didn't use it when they agreed to use the PKR logo during the elections. But that doesn't mean they have agreed to used the PKR logo after the elections. (which negates using the PKR colour template - light blue). The colour scheme for Pakatan Harapan logo is orange, just to let you know. It's not light blue, for the Pakatan logo or colour template. So I suggest we return to the status quo and have all Pakatan Harapan parties use their own colour templates. Once we have the ROS approve the coalition Pakatan Harapan, we can move forward and decide the colour for all 4 parties to use. Now pointing to UMNO, MCA, GERAKAN and MIC, etc that they use the same colour, proves my point. They use the same logo (same colour template), and that coalition has been contesting the last 14th elections (with the exception the Alliance coalition before 1969) They already are approved by the Registrar of Societies. I hope this clears the situation. I in fact was using a same colour template for Pakatan Rakyat in 2008, but was came to a consensus with other editors to use different colour templates for Pakatan Rakyat parties. Hope this makes this more clearer.
The Gagasan Sejahtera colour scheme is too dark. People won't be able to read the words in the template clearly. That is one of the reasons why I suggested we should use a lighter green colour. The PAS template colour was chosen because it was just the right colour.Lazybugger13A (talk) 05:42, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Lazybugger13A:, you can either put the font become white or go to adjust on this page. For PH, since they use PKR flag for election, we should use light blue. After they has been reconized, then we turn into this colour.East Malaysia also same. angys (Talk Talk) 05:55, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@*angys*:, that is just what I said awhile ago. The Registrar of Societies has not recognised Pakatan Harapan at the moment. They have a common logo, but this is also not recognised. This is a loose coalition right now. All four parties are equal and that is why we should use the different colour templates to differentiate them for the time being. The light blue template is just confusing and just follows PKR. PKR's colour is not the same as the Pakatan Harapan logo. Only once we have an official recognition of the Pakatan Harapan by ROS, we then can use a reddish or orange colour.
- PH
People's Justice Party (PKR)
For the Gagasan Sejahtera colour template, we should use a lighter green colour.Lazybugger13A (talk) 06:38, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with @*angys*: on this. When Pakatan Harapan switches to another logo somewhere down the road, the color template can be adjusted too. What is certain is that the elected representatives of the four Pakatan Harapan parties contested (and won) under a single logo. My point is a standardised color scheme for the four parties should be adopted. If representatives from UMNO, MCA, MIC, Gerakan, etc all share a single color scheme, I don't see why those from Amanah, DAP, PKR and PPBM cannot. Yes, the representatives from UMNO, MCA, MIC, Gerakan, etc contested under the BN banner, but the individuals are members of the component parties as well, ie UMNO, MCA, MIC, Gerakan, etc.
In fact, a single standard color for the four Pakatan parties would be less confusing. As it is, there is a table at the lead of the List of Malaysian State Assembly Representatives (2018–) article, which displays the colors of the coalitions involved.
I am not going to dwell further on this rather petty business of color selection. Will leave it to the consensus of the editors. But my point is, better to standardise the colors of the Pakatan Harapan component parties. Vnonymous (talk) 09:00, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@*angys*:@Vnonymous:, yes I agree using the same colour would be less confusing. But my stand is that will happen down the line, when Pakatan Harapan is officially recognised by the Registrar of Societies. Then we can use a colour similar to the Pakatan Harapan logo, which is reddish or orange in colour.(not the light blue that is being used at the moment) The argument that UMNO, MCA, MIC, Gerakan, etc contesting under the BN banner is just that. BN is recognised by the ROS, and that is why we have use same colour scheme for pass election tables and articles since 2008. I would rather other editors chime in on this issue so we can some to a consensus. But at the moment we should just stick with separate colours for DAP, AMANAH, PKR and PPBM. For the Gagasan Sejahtera colour template, it should be lighter in colour, not dark green. Lazybugger13A (talk) 14:56, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
BTW guys, anyone have a time to update all related articles in this two templates?

Molecule Extraction (talk) 07:56, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am going to change the colour to be more in tune with the Pakatan Harapan logo - #CC2200 -Template:PH (2018)/meta/color My original stance with the colour template for Pakatan Harapan is that all the four parties should still stick with their current colour templates. But since there is no consensus in making that happen, I will leave it as it is. All four component parties will have the same colour palette. I am also going to lighten the Gagasan Sejahtera colour palette to a lighter green colour. Lazybugger13A (talk) 13:00, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I have change the PH colour template to red. The PKR template is still light blue. Hope that clears up some misunderstanding. Lazybugger13A (talk) 07:03, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Lazybugger13A: Is it done by a mistake since I saw you change {{PH (2018)/meta/color}} to red and when I saw your comment said it is a mistake so I return it to blue? Sorry for interrupting again but everytime I refresh the Malaysian general election, 2018 article, the colour frequently change to red, blue, red, blue. My eyes going to *blink*, *blink*. 555. Please guys, find a quick consensus on this simple issue as other readers also would feel the same thing like me when they read the article. Molecule Extraction (talk) 09:06, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Molecule Extraction:, it's fine right now. *angys* managed to come up with a lighter red colour. I just read the latest news that the ROS is now in the process to officially recognising the Pakatan Harapan coalition. Hope we don't have this type of confusion over colours in the future.Lazybugger13A (talk) 14:20, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Lazybugger13A and Vnonymous:Since them has use has approve for PH, next time pleae use the Pakatan Harapan/meta/color or shading template instead of PH (2018) that for PKR flag election use only. If you really dont like you can go ahead change the name but please didt change the wikicode inside it.:) angys (Talk Talk) 14:25, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • angys*, if you are using the PH (2018)/meta/color for the PKR colour template, I suggest you use this template - People's Justice Party (Malaysia)/meta/color. To label it as PH (2018) is confusing to other editors as PH is denoted as Pakatan Harapan.Lazybugger13A (talk) 14:34, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Nevermind, our budiman editors will know it since thier logo is red. This template for GE14 PKR flag purpose only. After that Anwar may get a by election and probably they use Pakatan Harapan flag and for that time we use Pakatan Harapan meta template loor. angys (Talk Talk) 14:45, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
OK guys, now Pakatan Harapan is officially recognised by RoS, so I have change the colour to its official colour as they use in their website. I hope there is no more issues arise after this. Molecule Extraction (talk) 06:45, 17 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Copy-pasting

When copying text from one article to another at a minimum provide a link back to the source page in the edit summary at the destination page and state that content was copied from that source. When removing User:*angys*/Cronology from content categories per WP:USERNOCAT, I attributed the c-p from Chronology of the Malaysian Expressway System in Special:Diff/840083162/841830827 per WP:RIA. I think this will do. For details, see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

Speaking of Chronology of the Malaysian Expressway System, I removed the {{hoax}} tag you added in November. Why should this article/list be a hoax? When using {{hoax}}, it is always a good idea to discuss one's concerns on the article talk page with other editors. Regards, Sam Sailor 10:50, 18 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Members of the Dewan Rakyat, 14th Malaysian Parliament

Please do not undo my changes. I have added citations to the independent candidates joining PKR, as well as updated the tables. PH and Warisan are not formally in a coalition and therefore should not be combined.

I changed it from 3 tables to 2 tables because 1 was redundant. There should be 1 for official results as of 10 May, and another for the current state which should be kept updated as MPs switch allegiance. No need for a 3rd.

Please do not undo my changes just to revert to red. I thought the light blue was more appropriate but red is fine by me. That can be done without undoing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Skisagooner (talkcontribs) 10:35, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi *angys*

The current President, ie, the leader of the MCA, is still Liow Tiong Lai until he steps down or not to contest the post of President in the coming party election.

He said it would be his last officiating Kojadi's 36th AGM as the President, but as it is now, he is still the President while Wee Ka Siong is the deputy.

Pakatan Harapan has officially been recognised by the SM. For all political parties we should stick with PH colours for PKR, DAP, Amanah and PPBM. PKR is not contesting on their own. They are contesting under the PH banner. They are only using the PKR logo until constituents will get familiar with the PH logo in the future. Unsourced BLPs

Hi and thanks for your enthusiasm in creating biographies for Malaysian MPs. However, these articles you are creating are undersourced. The only source you provide is a link to the main page of the Parliament's website. You need to link to their specific profiles if they have one on the Parliament site, rather than expecting readers to search for the subject themselves. 2019 Malaysian federal budget moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, 2019 Malaysian federal budget, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. @Seloloving: Yes, thank you very much.

For layout, you can use the border of Klang Valley and Kuala Lumpur city border. For station, like what had insert in Singapore's MRT articles, I think can use the template to complete so only need to make a diagram with line route. There are 5 metro lines in Kuala Lumpur (plus 5 intercity lines), which is Ampang Line, Sri Petaling Line, Kelana Jaya Line, KL Monorail and Sungai Buloh-Kajang line. i hope you can make these five diagram with their official colour. angys (Talk Talk) 16:47, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I already replied on my pages talk but can you please tell me the date of announcement for the suspected cases? Just tell me the date and I'll check on telegram, because I searched for it and couldn't find it. Also you shouldn't post the suspected cases without a citation. Hulubalang2584 (talk) 11:23, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry I don't know how to use the reply template

Thanks for showing me, but you're misunderstanding it. "Jumlah individu disampel" doesn't mean suspected cases, it translates to the "total number of people tested" meaning the total number of tests done by the government, not suspected cases. Hulubalang2584 (talk) 11:44, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not exactly, because above that number it says "jumlah kes positif" which is the total position cases, that means that the rest are negative meaning tested and the answer is no Hulubalang2584 (talk) 11:52, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

So if you want to change it to "total number of tests" then it's fine. But putting "suspected cases" implies that the government thinks there are that many infected people in Malaysia Hulubalang2584 (talk) 11:55, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

George Town borders

Hi, thank you for editing the map of George Town in Penang. I see you're from Penang, so I'm hoping you can discuss something with me. I noticed a number of months ago that a lot of information seemed to be incorrect e.g Talk:George Town, Penang#Confusing, misleading article. Unfortunately, because I'm not Malaysian I don't really see myself best placed to fix it, as the problem is systematic. Are you aware that in multiple articles people are claiming that George Town comprises the entirety of Penang Island? This is blatantly false, isn't it? For example people claim that Bayan Lepas and Bayan Baru is in George Town...That's crazy, no? Every article about Penang Island claims everything is in George Town. I tried to find where this information was coming from and the only thing I found was this Penang Island City Council#Expansion of city limit. However, the evidence for the claim is found in a Malaysian newspaper link which I cannot read. Isn't the fundamental problem here that "George Town" and the "City of Penang Island" are two different things, yet editors are treating them as though they were the same? I think all those changes were made by one editor about 5 years ago and no one reviewed them. Apples&Manzanas (talk) 04:23, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Another example of it is here at Penang Island "George Town had been granted city status in that year; the city's jurisdiction was eventually expanded to encompass the entire island by 2015." But once again the footnote is the Malay language newspaper which i cannot scrutinize myself. Apples&Manzanas (talk) 04:37, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • No such thing IMO, if you cannot read Malay, you can just use Google Translate.

@Apples&Manzanas:, yes, the definition was make by an arrogamt user. That time I was a newbie and that user had undid my edits a lot. But thankfully that user had blocked because that user use sockpuppet account to vote itself. BTW, yes your terminology is true. But a a mainlander in Penang (Seberang Perai), I can also clarify to you what is the diffrenece between all of this.

  • George Town - de jure capital of Penang state, but commonly locals like me refer to George Town proper only (like in that OSM map, those are does not have clear suburb border and I just called it as Pusat Bandaraya or City Centre). They also use address like 10000 George Town for that region, rather that putting 10000 Pulau Tikus or 10000 Datuk Keramat.

-From administrative division site, George Town is a subpart of Penang Island City (MBPP)Council, so George Town can be understand as the real identify of MBPP, but we chinese local commonly just called the island as “Penang” (槟城) (not Penang State, 槟州), and not George Town for all the island.

-Bayan Baru is a suburb in Bayan Lepas. Bayan Lepas is a huge postcode area from Sungai Nibong to South of the island (11900).

SO, just use the terminology as “Penang Island City”, it is better then George Town. The real border for George Town is like just all of the Northeast Penang Island District only, after this is Balik Pulau and Bayan Lepas. Perhaps if I was in the Penang Government team, then I can make a official statement about this but I am not.

Hope these can help you, I am now creating boundary for Penang suburbs at OSM based on local knowledge, so somehow some of the area are not very accurate angys (Talk Talk) 04:40, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply. This is the source they used NEWSPAPER LINK. I can't use google translate, because (A) I can't copy and paste it (B) I don't know which article they are referring to. I want to make sure I am correct to think that George Town is not *all* of Penang Island, only the Northeast as you say. Apples&Manzanas (talk) 04:48, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, so just do like this is enough. George Town is not equal to MBPP unless they stated it. One source is not reliable and in 2015 there were just MPPP upgrate to MBPP only. angys (Talk Talk) 04:59, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, okay, I'll fix things as I see them. Two questions (A) What does MBPP and MPPP mean? (B) Is George Town a city or is it just a part of Penang Island? Apples&Manzanas (talk) 05:32, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
A-MBPP is Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang, MPPP is Majlis Perbandaran Pulau Pinang (Penang Island Municipal Council)

B- George Town just the de jure capital of Penang, and a postcode area for city centre. Most of the roadsign even use name of postcode as “Pulau Pinang” (Penang Island) instead of George Town, you can find two of this on the local street sign. City is Penang Island City, so you can understand that George Town is just a place name (region in Penang city centre), as the local authority dont call it officially George Town. Penang Island City or commonly Penang is the city for the island part, and the opposite Seberang Perai also is a region, just they have a local authority with such name. E.g. for me I will identify me as a Bukit Mertajam residesce instead of Seberang Perai. Penang Island and Seberang Perai just like a big province for local and local usually just dirrectly goes to the township (e.g. I am from Bayan Lepas, Balik Pulau..) like what in postcode. angys (Talk Talk) 05:58, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. After I've seen a thorough change on the map (including the map for the coronavirus pandemic). There is several errors regarding the borders of districts in Sabah since it looks like this map is taken from a constituency divide which is not similar to districts map. For now I will restoring the labelled map of Sabah to its original until the map that was created by yours is updated. Regards.  Ṉight Ḻantern 🏮 04:46, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@*angys*: Telupid District border for example.. You can see the actual proper border line in here. Another is Tawau District which is divided into two? I didn't check the Sarawak part yet, probably there is also some that may need correction. Also can you please update this Malaysian coronavirus density and districts map since the last update occurred in May?  Ṉight Ḻantern 🏮 06:15, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Night Lantern:, Oh I see. For that, I think if you have time you may correct it by yourself. And for the border, the best solution is to seek for the Sabah Geoportal department, cuz maybe one of them are the latest, whereas the other is not the latest. Otherwise, we can wait until 2020 census is done, after 1 year. It is not a profound problem actually, as this can be solved in 1 year time. For Tawau, before that I heard Kalabakan is one of the new district, and the Sabah covid map initially separated them also, but maybe they merge (?) it. Now I cannot tell you Kalabakan is a district or not, but at least it is a subdistrict. I believe these question will have a clear answer by 2021. BTW, I have no time to update that statistics. I had to pursue my study also. But maybe after Q3 of 2021 I will have much of time, to do for the upcoming 2020 census burden also. I will try my best to do lah, but cannot ensure it. So better you can consider to update it by yourself. Thats all. Tqvm for asking the question. angys (Talk Talk) 20:02, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@*angys*: Which one? The link you recently give to me are mostly about the capital city of Kuala Lumpur. I didn't see the document mentioning anything about other states. On the map you asked me to update by myself, this will take a time since with the change of borders, it is not the only sole map that needs to be updated but almost every map in the category of the districts of Sabah. So my better suggestion on this problems is to create one specific SVG map for the district of Sabah where the borders are able to easily modified by any editors in the case if the state government of Sabah adds several more new district (not just some sorts of quick PNG to SVG convert that are not properly working like the one right now we have). I will ask someone in the Graphics Lab to do this soon. So just wait at the moment since this coronavirus really affecting everyone lives that directly causing me to reduce my current available time in Wikipedia (unlike in previous years where I am able to spent more time here).  Ṉight Ḻantern 🏮 01:55, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Maps

Batu Pahat and Pengerang - maps based on outdated data from Election Commission. Will look into that, TQ for the tip.

Titiwangsa, Seputeh and Kota Raja - extra labels of Maluri, Old Klang Road and Putra Heights are added to better reflect the local characteristic. Such labels are not official, as the official constituency names are indeed confusing.
Putra Heights is the largest rail station in Kota Raja parliamentary constituency, while Seputeh constituency includes much of Old Klang Road.

COVID-19 pandemic in Malaysia

Hi *angys*, thanks so much for your hard work on Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on politics in Malaysia and Issues and controversies related to the COVID-19 pandemic in Malaysia. It's also good to have another Malaysian take an interest in COVID-19 related topics affecting Malaysia. It may be a good idea to add short summaries on those topics within the COVID-19 pandemic in Malaysia article. Keep in mind that Wikipedia discourages having separate issues and controversies sections. Can discuss things with you. Cheers. Andykatib 07:43, 23 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
