Kayvan Mirhadi (also spelled "Keyvan Mirhadi", keivanmirhadi, Template:Lang-fa, born January 20, 1960 in Tehran) is an Iranian Guitarist, Composer, Conductot and Music Educator living in Tehran.[1][2]

Childhood and introduction to Music

Keyvan started playing Guitar at the age of 9. He started to learn classical Guitar under instruction of Dr. Simon Ayvazian in 1980.[1][3]

Teaching and Instructing Music

Keyvan Mirhadi is one of the prominent Guitar instructors in academic level in Iran.[4] He is teaching in different universities and colleges in Tehran. Mirhadi's publication in music are used as reference for Guitar players and music students.[5]

As an educator and instructor Mirhady taught courses in Choir, Guitar, Theory of Western Music and History of music in various universities, colleges, institutes and master classes such as:

  • University of Tehran[6]
  • Azad University
  • Tehran Conservatory of Music
  • Tehran College of music (Honarestan),
  • Elmi-Karbordi University branch 46.
  • Master Classes[4][7]

Composing and Conducting

In the course of his career Mirhadi has conducted many choirs and chamber orchestras dedicated to classical music.

Camerata Orchestra

- Mirhadi is the Founder and Conductor of the Camerata Orchestra. The ensemble is owned by Keyvan Mirhadi. Camerata performs various genres of music from Classical ( Philip Glass, Arvo Pärt ) [4]to Rock (Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Scorpions, Iron Maiden). One of the main noticed performances of the Camerata orchestra was in Aix-en-Provence Cathedral. This is first performance by an Iranian private orchestra out of Iran borders. Camerata Orchestra played through a decade in more than 60 different stages.[4] Camerata introduced two new Guitar concertos in Tehran in Aug 2018.[6][8][9][10]

- Fusion concert, transcrition of Massoud Shoari pieces for large classical-traditional ensemble, 2003 at the Tehran Opera House (Vahdat Hall).

- Barbod Orchestra[4][11]
