January 2021

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Five Star Movement; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. An edit war requires two people and you could have also started a discussion on the talk page. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 17:37, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@CambridgeBayWeather: You are right, I should have started a discussion, but the other user have deleted a long-established and well-documented version, only asserting that "Italians know better about their own country", this is a disruptive edit. Moreover, other users thanked me for my edits, so I thought to be right. -- Nick.mon (talk) 17:45, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Still an edit war and I didn't want to block. So now a discussion can be had. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 17:48, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

-- Nick.mon (talk) 21:05, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
D'accordo, in tal caso la reinserisco. Buona serata. --Newblackwhite (talk) 21:24, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Altrettanto! -- Nick.mon (talk) 21:29, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Italian parliament graphs

Hi Nick. I am modifying the files for the current composition of the Italian Parliament according to the tradition that was in place earlier. I sincerely think we do not need to clog the charts with information about the various components of the mixed group: all those colours become easily unrecognizable and as a consequence having those sub-groups loses the purpose of clarity. I think it's much better to just show the mixed group as a whole, and the actual main groups. If one needs more insight about the mixed group, one can go to the tables or the various lists in the infoboxes. I also shifted IV back closer to the centre-left: I think we should not make the position of the parties in the graph depend on the government/opposition status. This is unrelated to their position on the "parliament map". Check File:Italian Chamber of Deputies current.svg. --Ritchie92 (talk) 10:55, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ritchie92! I understand your point, in my view it was a good solution, but I understand that the graph becomes a mess with all the sub-groups. -- Nick.mon (talk) 10:58, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I will change the Senate graph accordingly when the new groups are officialized on its website. --Ritchie92 (talk) 11:24, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

COVID-19 testing data in Italy

Hi Nick.mon. I think the data of the last days about the number of tests in Italy (see COVID-19 pandemic in Italy#Statistics are incorrect. Could you correct them please? --Ritchie92 (talk) 11:25, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ritchie92, the data are actually correct (Feb 24, Feb 25). The huge increase is caused by a new way of counting the number of tests, I believe. -- Nick.mon (talk) 11:55, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yesterday's data has been corrected, I think. We should refer to the official database, here: [1]. --Ritchie92 (talk) 12:23, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Gentiloni Cabinet, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page 2016–17 Central Italy earthquakes.

2010s

Well, first of all, you had said that those pictures added in the page were agreed one year ago. But honestly, though they show relevant facts that happened during the decade, yet it's missing some informations. For example, it's missing some other relevant events like European migrant crisis, killing of Osama bin Laden, etc. So, wouldn't it be possible adding a new collage with these pictures along with the ones in the current version? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arcanji (talkcontribs) 22:10, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Arcanji, maybe you'll be surprise, but I quite agree, the migrant crisis is definitely important, but it was decided to insert Arab Springs and rise of ISIL as some of its causes and we agreed not to insert the crisis itself, but we can discuss about that. Regarding the killing of Osama, maybe two pics about terrorist groups are too much. Anyway we have to discuss on the apposite talk page. You started a discussion, let's continue it there. -- Nick.mon (talk) 22:15, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, thank you! Arcanji (talk) 22:20, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your next revert puts you in violation of WP:3RR, and at that point, I will report you for edit warring. I suggest you accept the compromise siae, which I am restoring. Beyond My Ken (talk) 03:06, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Refactoring other editor's talk page comments

Information icon Please do not delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Talk:National Fascist Party. Such edits are disruptive, and may appear to other editors to be vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Thank you. Beyond My Ken (talk) 04:56, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Beyond My Ken, excuse me for that, but you can't invent false informations. I've never tried to make the logo even larger, this is simply false. 160px was used for years before your edits, I agree that 160px is too large, but I simply tried to restore a long-established version. -- Nick.mon (talk) 07:51, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

An anon just appeared to swap the home/away uniforms. edit. It looks like the anon may have corrected some vandalism. Would you please check? I'm not sure what the uniforms should look like nor know where to find out. Thanks Adakiko (talk) 07:24, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Adakiko, thank you! I'm going to fix it. -- Nick.mon (talk) 07:30, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You are welcome. So, home and away colors get swapped seasonally? I was wondering what was going on there! Cheers Adakiko (talk) 07:35, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Adakiko: Well, I sincerly don't know why, but during this season (as well as during 2019–20), black uniform is used during home games. But it's quite weird to be honest. I don't know, maybe the owner prefers black uniforms, I don't know :) -- Nick.mon (talk) 07:49, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
