Rapid Release

The new number is just a change in the way the versions are numbered. Would you be OK if I re-added the comment about GNOME 40 not being like 2 and 3? -:{{Comment}} News sources and the Gnome team mostly treat this as major version and thus the article should too. Although, [[User:Nonoesimposible|Nonoesimposible]] has a point in this sense, that there was no big library or backend changes in the same way as in Gnome 2 and 3. It is major, but not in technical sense, more like ''project direction'' and ''design direction'' sense.
