Sepideh Moafi (born September 18, 1985) is an American actress. She made her television debut in 2013 with a guest role on Blue Bloods, and has since become known for her roles in The L Word: Generation Q, and The Deuce.

Early Life

Moafi was born on September 18th, 1985 in a refugee camp in Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany. Her father's name is Enayat, and her mother's name is Soraya. They moved to the United States as a family after Moafi's birth. During her childhood years, she studied Opera. Moafi went to the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and received her Bachelor of Music and Vocal Performance in 2007. At the same time, she attended the University of California Irvine to study Acting, where she later graduated with an MFA. Before getting her acting career, she briefly held a job for a health insurance company.

Career

After getting her start by guest starring in many TV shows for single episodes, Moafi landed a recurring role in The Deuce.

Later, she was cast as Gigi on The L Word: Generation Q, a reboot of the early 2000s lesbian classic, The L Word. In this show, she plays the ex-wife of Nat, and throuple member.

Personal Life

Moafi adopted a puppy named Simone de Beauvoir in March 2019. She is not currently known to be dating anyone.
