Indic scripts
D-Boy, you left a comment in WP:PAIN regarding my removing devnagri scripts from Pakistan and Sumer articles. I see no connection between Sanskrit and Indus valley civ. Can you please cite me some sources which say that Sanskrit was either spoken during the IVC days or indicating some connection between the two? Otherwise inserting Sanskrti in articles such as Meluhha will be far fetched and can only lead to ugly editwars such as with Harappa. Thanks Parthi talk/contribs 19:26, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
Image tagging for Image:Rwrowen.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Rwrowen.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Annoying?
You left a comment saying something was annoying. Were you talking about the poll or my comment in general? I thought I needed to clarify my statement "If one goes, all should go". I didn’t want people to think I was pushing to have all emblems deleted from the Hindu Project page. I was the very first person to reply to IZAK on the Judaism page, so this subject is very important. (Ghostexorcist 20:17, 10 January 2007 (UTC))
Just wanted to say hello
It's obvious you oppose my views (and perhaps my presence) in the Hinduism template discussion, but I just wanted to let you know that I am grateful for your presence and your views nonetheless. It takes many voices to reach effective compromise and consensus, and whatever your views may be, I respect your right to express them and will give each comment the consideration it is due. Thanks for providing such an entertaining debate :) -- User:RyanFreisling @ 00:33, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
hindu mythology
Is it the same way as wikiproject saivism? Dead? I've been using books by the Ramakrishna Math in Chennai to write them on hindi wiki but I've come across some incorrect info on Kalayavan and other articles.T*E*H Kingrom 00:47, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- Tight but Hindi wiki is a much better place.T*E*H Kingrom 06:35, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Indian template
Hey, I may have missed the discussion which you sometimes talk about referring to some Indian template where the Indian flag was removed or something. Which template was it? Nobleeagle [TALK] [C] 03:36, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- No...that's stupid...how come the Pakistani flag is allowed but India needs to use the pre thing for all the articles. Can you give me link to where the consensus/compromise was made so that I can go through it. Nobleeagle [TALK] [C] 03:52, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- The Pakistani flag features green, symbolizing Islam, and it also features the crescent, which is found on the flags of many Islamic nations and it also has the five-pointed star symbolizing the pillars of Islam. I have no idea where Islam was when the Indus Valley Civilization was thriving but if India isn't allowed to use it's flag it seems unfair for Pakistan to do so. A physical map of Pakistan symbolizing the region should do alright, but I doubt it'll ever be implemented. Nobleeagle [TALK] [C] 23:45, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- The Hindu links debate may be over in a month, it may also mean we get rid of our symbols...anyway...after all those years such appeasement may have become a genetic trait amongst Indians or something...D'you think it's worth politely asking at WP:PAK? Nobleeagle [TALK] [C] 03:48, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Ancient Pakistan
I believe you have questioned the validity of Ancient Pakistan before. And I gave you sources, which I thought you ignored, but now I know it. Here I will provide you with them again.
The term Ancient Pakistani is a valid term, as the following encyclopaedic sources. and qualified professors state, and make use of the term.
http://oacistest.library.yale.edu/te...79be5042beb169
http://inic.utexas.edu/asnic/subject...languages.html
http://darkwing.uoregon.edu/~mharrsc...-insignia.html
Note the sources are Edu.
The first source is of a book (Ancient Pakistan), used by major univerities as a source for the history of the South Asian subcontinent.
The 2nd source is a journal which uses the term Ancient Pakistan
The third source (not the blog) contains the quote of a Doctor using the term Ancient Pakistan in a History of South Asia speech.
http://people.bu.edu/mughal/cv_publications.htm
This reference, also edu source, uses Ancient Pakistan Journal as a reference.
http://dsal.uchicago.edu/reference/s...=193&view=text
This source uses the "ancient pakistan" book as a reference, note how the author refers to the subcontinent as South Asia instead of India.
Unre4LITY 00:03, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yes thats like 50% of the "ancient pakistan" google searches listed above.Bakaman 02:53, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
You still going on about those results? Excellent reason to contradict yourself and ignore educational sources. Unre4LITY 12:27, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not ignoring anything. Finding 50 results for an obvious neologism compared to 41700 for a valid term is hardly an argument. The oregon site is a blog still. I have no need to list all of the websites that use the correct term "Ancient India" since that would merely blow the fictional construct of Ancient Pakistan out of the ballpark.Bakaman 15:13, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
You know, I will just give you some advise. Sources are Sources. Dont deny them when you finally get them. And dont use the term "fictional", because a similar comment was used against me to give me a weeks ban. Unre4LITY 17:23, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi,
The above personality did a lot for a lasting solution in the island though he suffered from diabetes, Motor Neurone Disease, a degenerative disease of the nervous system, and possibly medicine-induced bile duct cancer.
Now putting his Bio "Terrorist Tag", I feel unreasonable and removing it, please take necessary action on this.
I have discussed my points at Talk:Anton Balasingham.Rajsingam 09:50, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi!
Just wondering why you are so keen on keeping the images on the welcome template. May you please give one reason. Please respond on my talk page. I'm willing to negotiate in a civil manner. Thanks! Btw, have you noticed the progress we've made on the Hinduism page. Six of us (Abece, Nobleeagle, Priyanath, Saiva, Arjun and myself) plus a few others have done some great work in copyediting and remove redundant information. GizzaChat © 04:19, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi again, I guess in my argument I placed Adi Shankara's concept of Vairagya (dispassion from material world) in front of dharma! I think many people misunderstood my proposal and I'm the one to blame. My proposal would be better served at the Village Pump. I agree with you that if the Hindu images go, all on templates should go. It was more of pro-Wikipedia argument than an anti-Swastik argument because I believe it is an unnecessary strain on Wikimedia servers. A few guys understood it like BostonMA but overall I didn't explain it clearly enough.
While Krishna does say you should continue your dharma, the Bhagavad Gita mentions that one should stick to their karma (actions) but lose the phal ("fruitfulness"/sensual (Indriya) enjoyment). So it is best to not get emotional whenever something like this does happen. Best wishes GizzaChat © 22:16, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
- And another thing, you may have seen my message on Unre's, Nadir's and Arjun's talk pages that I'm going to stay clear of anything controversial for the next 9 months. The stress it causes is not good for my final and most important year of high school (well, thats how it works in Aus.). That message above is the last I hope that is related to any sort of controversy. Bhadani gave me inspiration by rejecting any controversial stuff on his talk page (after all he is in his fifties and dealing with these issues wouldn't be good for his mental health). May you have a prosperous year on Wikipedia and on your real life endevours. GizzaChat © 22:24, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
I wrote a mini-essay response to your comment. Everything I wrote I am confident is right. To confirm you can ask Dbachamann who has studied Sanskrit for six years. Btw, what part of India do you originate from? I have a feeling it is from Bengal. I am eager to find out. Cheers GizzaChat © 00:17, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi
I couldn't understand why this user User:Netmonger is raising the above problem which totally irrelevant to Talk:Rajkumar Kanagasingam Page. As this is my Bio, could you help me to sort out this matter with him. Rajsingam 13:26, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Superid.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Superid.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
