American Tapes
American Tapes is a label started by Olson in 1995, mainly used to publish his own music and music of other experimental artists such as Nautical Almanac, Reynols, Don Dietrich, Universal Indians, Hair Police and more. The label is known for the unique design of the tape cases, made of various media collages and abstract shapes and also their elaborate packaging in early days. Almost all releases were made in very small numbers and the early ones are considered collector's pieces nowdays.
