The most notable site in the centre of the village is a war memorial and graveyard which contains graves of British Officers and mass graves of soldiers of both opposing sides of The Battle of Chillianwala. It is both deeply respected by the citizens of Chillianwala, and surrounding towns and villages; a few million rupees have been donated by The Government of Punjab for the restoration of the above mentioned war memorial and graveyard whereas further efforts are still being put in to highlight its historical importance and military significance; this has so far been a success.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.nrb.gov.pk/lg_election/union.asp?district=20&dn=Mandi+Bahauddin|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20080922204630/http://www.nrb.gov.pk/lg_election/union.asp?district=20&dn=Mandi%20Bahauddin|url-status=dead|archive-date=22 September 2008|date=22 September 2008|access-date=1 January 2018}}</ref>
