Reynaldo Flemings (born July 27, 1973) is the Commissioner of Music for Memphis and Shelby County. Flemings is also President of the Memphis Music Foundation which coordinates activities with the Memphis and Shelby County Music Commission to re-develop Memphis's recording music industry.
Professional
As head of Memphis's music industry economic development agencies, Flemings's responsibilities include music business and television program recruitment, music-related marketing of Memphis and advocacy of Memphis' contemporary music scene.
In October 2005, the Memphis Music Foundation provided assistance with the re-location of the 2005 Voodoo Music Experience to Memphis in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
History
In addition to his home town of Memphis, Flemings has also lived in San Francisco, California and Austin, Texas where he worked at United Devices.
