Polygon Wave (ポリゴンウェイヴ EP) is an EP by Japanese electropop group Perfume, released on September 22, 2021, through Universal Music Japan.[1]

Background and release

A month after the title track's release, an announcement was made that there would be an EP with the same name as the lead single for physical releases. The track listing and cover were published including a teaser.[2][3]

On September 22, 2021, the EP was released. Two limited editions of it were released with the title track's cover. One including a DVD, and the other including a Blu-ray.[4][5]

Musically, the EP is an electronic "mini-album", with the title track described as "French house-flavoured" and "a return" to Perfume's "original techno-pop style", incorporating "funky guitars and thumping 4/4 beats".[6] The original mix of "Polygon Wave" includes an additional minute and a half.
