North Herts FM, rebranded in April 2019 as North Herts Radio, was a community internet based radio station based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
It was formed in 2018 by Rebecca "Bee" Phillips as a community-focused alternative to networked or mainly automated radio stations such as Heart Hertfordshire and BOB fm (Hertfordshire). Phillips was the Station Manager, a presenter of North Herts Country and a company officer.[1]
Output was a varied mix of presenter-led shows including jazz, country, Rock, Reggae and a variety of information based programmes such as the Book Programme, Hertfordshire History, Sport Zone and Love Live with a variety of short run shows in production. Live shows included The Breakfast Show and Drive Time.
In May 2018 it commenced offering live commentary of Hitchin Town F.C. football matches.[2][3]
The station was funded by advertising, sponsorship and merchandise sales.
North Herts Radio was incorporated as a limited company in December 2018.[4]
In June 2020 Phillips departed the station due to ill health.[5] Broadcasts ceased later that year.[6]
