Miss Universe 2007 will be held in Mexico City, Mexico in May. The 2007 edition is expected to be the largest ever, with about 95 delegates competing for the title, currently held by Puerto Rico's Zuleyka Rivera. All information is unconfirmed until the delegates arrive to the host city. Official information will be available a month before the pageant.

- According to the Miss Universe 2007 official participating nations list, 95 nations are expected to attend. Three nations are expected to debut, Montenegro, Serbia and Tanzania. Nine are expected to return. Nations such as Cambodia, Kenya, Romania, Seychelles, Taiwan and Zimbabwe does not appear for unknown reasons.
- Northern Marianas has decided to reschedule its 2007 pageantry calendar and not send a delegate to Miss Universe 2007, they will, however, choose a delegate for Miss Universe 2008 on October 13th, 2007
- Tanzania is expected to send its first delegate ever to the Miss Universe pageant.
- Barbados, Belize, Curaçao, Guam, Honduras, Italy, and the Netherlands are expected to return this year.
- Panama cancelled its 2006 national pageant as the organizing network cut it off its schedule due to declining ratings and interest.
- Lebanon cancelled its national pageant due to the political issues in Lebanon. But later the Miss Lebanon Organization stated that there is a chance for Anabella Hilal, last year's 1st Runner Up, to represent Lebanon if no delegate is chosen in time for Miss Universe 2007. Up to this date, nothing has been officially confirmed.
- For the first time ever in Miss Universe history, Serbia and Montenegro will send separate delegates.
- Various news sites have reported that the United Kingdom will be represented by Preeti Desai, which is not true. Preeti Desai won the Miss Great Britain crown, and she will compete in the Miss Tourism World 2007 pageant organized by John Singh. The UK and Ireland franchises of Miss Universe are currently owned by Kieran Murray, who hand-picked representatives for the last two editions of Miss Universe.
