The Institute for Black Catholic Studies (IBCS) is an interdisciplinary Catholic graduate program at Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans that specializes in Black Catholic theology. It was founded in 1980 by Fr Thaddeus Posey, OFM Cap. alongside members of the National Black Catholic Clergy Caucus, National Black Sisters Conference, and others.
