shoulder injury in 1996 - ?

i'm not a big elway fan but i'm surprised this article doesn't have any info on the surgery he had before 1997. if i remember correctly his tendon had to be reattached but could not have been attached in the anatomically correct manner. the fact that he recovered from that and still had two great years as a quarterback is pretty impressive. 207.29.128.130 17:24, 3 October 2005 (UTC)

Held back in high school?

The following text was added anonymously: “His father decided to hold John back a year in school, so he would be a better athlete than his peers. As a result, he was a very successful High School Quarterback…”. While it could be true, no source was cited and a quick Google didn’t find anything. Opening paragraph

I think it would be consistent with Wikipedia:Manual of Style (biographies) to say something in the first paragraph that distinguishes Elway from the other ~400 persons in Category:American football quarterbacks. pass attempts per interception/ypg in postseason

hey. i was kinda thinking of adding these stats to the page but haven't yet figured out how to manipulate that table, and think a section all its own is a bit much. the stats are as follows, in case somebody more able feels like beating me to it:

32.07 pass attempts per interception in the regular season 31 pass attempts per interception in postseason 225.6 yards per game in postseason

Last Game?

The article states that Super Bowl XXXIII was his last game. However, if my memory is correct, he accepted an invitation to play in the last game at Mile High Stadium before it was shut down. Should this not be mentioned in the article? Atsfrr3000 02:19, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
