Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. HistoryofIran (talk) 20:42, 18 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

August 2021

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule, as you did at Battle of Karbala. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 12:39, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I tried to resolve the dispute on the article discussion page and two others, but they did not provide any documents. They just canceled my edit for no reason. They should be held accountable, not me. Please remove this restriction, The person who told me to be limited for two days did not give me the right answer on the discussion page. Someone else should investigate, not him. I did not do anything wrong, this issue should be corrected in the article. thanks. M.Nadian (talk) 12:47, 19 August 2021 (UTC)

Decline reason:

None of these thing allow for edit warring, block is correct. HighInBC Need help? Just ask. 12:52, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Thank you I only had one question, so how do I fix a wrong topic, none of them answered me. Should I have left the information wrong? Thanks.M.Nadian (talk) 12:59, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Everyone thinks they are right and the other is wrong. HighInBC Need help? Just ask. 23:01, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If so, peace would be meaningless! When you write minimum you do not write maximum? In Arabic and Persian translations that also write the maximum.Thanks.

Copying from one article to another

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into Husayn ibn Ali. While you are welcome to re-use the content of Wikipedia, here or elsewhere, our licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please either provide attribution in this case, or identify the source article so that someone else can do it. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Please be aware that editors who repeatedly copy content without attribution risk being blocked from editing. Thank you. -- Toddy1 (talk) 08:02, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

For example, this edit adds text with a <ref name=":2" />, which someone else deleted in another edit. If you had said which article you had copied stuff from, we could have found the definition of the reference there and copied that reference into the article on Husayn ibn Ali. It would also help if people replaced bot-generated citation names such as ":2" with more meaningful ones that make it easier to work out what the reference is to.-- Toddy1 (talk) 08:08, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello I copy and translat from fa of this page, in fa is Featured articles and all ref are checked and haven't copy right problem. In fa and en in wiki copy right law i think is same.

I think this doing haven't any problem, in summery of edits I will add it. Thanks🙏. M.Nadian (talk) 08:15, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, ok. I fix it. M.Nadian (talk) 08:16, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

See Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Let me give an example. If you copy text from Hasan ibn Ali into Concubinage, you are meant to put in the edit summary on the lines of, "Copied content from Hasan ibn Ali".-- Toddy1 (talk) 08:22, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

ok, i don't know that. I do it. Thanks. M.Nadian (talk) 09:40, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits

There are some bits that I do not understand:

  • Husayn had white faces and sometimes wore a green turban and sometimes a black turban.
This sentence is under "personality". (1) What coloured turbans he wore does not seem relevant to his personality. (2) What do you mean by "Husayn had white faces"? Most people have only got one face, though the Roman god Janus had two.
  • one of the moral characteristics of Husayn Bordbari
"Husayn Bordbari"????

-- Toddy1 (talk) 19:17, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I didn't check carefully. 1. I change the "Personality" section to "Personality and Appearance". 2. I mistyped the white face of the plural. 3. "bordbari" means Tolerance in persian, i dont know why this not translated. thanks.M.Nadian (talk) 19:32, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Translated article/book titles

When citing sources that are not in English the citation template (Template:Citation) has fields for both the real title, and for a translation of the title. Please use both:

  • |title= تضاد یا هماهنگی برنامه ششم توسعه با الگوی ایرانی-اسلامی پیشرفت
  • |trans-title=Contradiction or coordination of the Sixth Development Plan with the Iranian-Islamic model of progress

With titles, always use the actual title.-- Toddy1 (talk) 15:12, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
