== Participation in a research study of Wikipedians ==

Hi Melaen,

My name is Lara Yang, and I am a PhD student in Organizational Behavior at Stanford University. As a part of a research study to better understand work dynamics on Wikipedia, our research team is currently conducting interviews with Wikipedians. Because you are an active editor on Wikipedia, we would love to learn more about your work and hear your perspective on how Wikipedia, and open-source communities in general, function to produce and organize high-quality knowledge. We have done our best to learn about the dynamics of collaboration on Wikipedia from secondary sources, which we are hoping to complement with your invaluable first-hand insights.
The interview will take around 45 minutes and be semi-structured in format. Any identifying information in your responses will be kept strictly confidential, and will not be disclosed in the analysis nor the research paper. If you are interested in participating, please email me at larayang@stanford.edu or via the [[Special:EmailUser/Wanderingpotato|Email this user]] tool on my [[User:Wanderingpotato|user page]] and suggest a few time slots in the upcoming weeks that work best for you. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule. Should you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We look forward to hearing from you.

Best, Lara

You had tagged this as a suspected hoax, but I've started an AfD discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Li Chaw Wet. Please join in if you are so inclined. ... discospinster talk 00:43, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I changed this CSD tag as it is not a Test page, but rather a hoax. jsfouche ☽☾Talk 00:54, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Of course it doesn't have sources

As I said, I'm going to sleep. Are you a robot? I'm putting sources in when I wake up. This is in regards to Home prime.Julzes (talk) 11:57, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Altered speedy deletion rationale: Chastnaya

Hello Melaen. I am just letting you know that I deleted Chastnaya, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which doesn't fit the page in question. Thank you. PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 00:10, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article had been vandalised. See my comment at the AfD and check out the unvandalised version which I have restored. JohnCD (talk) 18:26, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Upcoming iPhone 5 for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Upcoming iPhone 5 is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. HereToHelp (talk to me) 18:20, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Sorry, but I've taken your CSD A7 off because I can't see how it fits - it's a comic strip but hard copy and not on the web. I've got doubts about the notability, and am considering redirecting it to The Dandy. Quite a few of their strips/characters have their own article, but I'm not sure about this one. Speedy deletion declined: Constructivity Model Viewer

Hello Melaen, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Constructivity Model Viewer, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: A7 does not apply to software. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Tikiwont (talk) 20:28, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with your PRODing of Traveling with asmartphone as a guide, but could you make the reason you give in the template more detailed in future, and preferably give wikilinks to the relevant guidelines? The article was written by a new contributor who presumably has no idea about the original research and not-a-guide rules, so they need to be given more information to understand what the problem is.--Physics is all gnomes (talk) 13:09, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

B'nai Jeshurun Congregation, Pepper Pike, OH

I have responded to your note about deleting the language in the B'nai Jeshurun Congregation, Pepper Pike, section. There is no copyright infringement, the language is directly from the synagogue website and as the executive director of the synagogue we have control over this wording and may use it where appropriate. Telling our story on Wikipedia through this history is beneficial. Regarding deletion of Article - Oracle Flow Builder

Hi,

Can you be more specific in detail as what is the issue, I am very new to Wikipedia, I have been trynig to share knowledge to people about ORACLE FLOW BUILDER, the new product of ORACLE.

There is no much resources available outside in the internet which can give some insight of it, I felt it deserves to get a place in Wikipedia so that readers or learners will get a chance to read about it and learn about it.

It would be better to educate me how to write, rather mark for delete directly and make me fee shy in sharing any more knowledge through wikipedia.

an immediate response on this would be appreciated.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. in regards to draft virtual scanning technology - page was deleted but I want to get access to edit it elsewhere if possible please

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Bompiani, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Adelphi and James Cain. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I just wanted to write about my school. You can review my page back. If you think my page is fine then please let me know. And moreover please feel free to share new ideas regarding my page. Jyotishman12345 (talk) 14:20, 16 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi and welcome back. Just leaving a quick note that intentional links to disambiguation pages don't normally get piped if they appear in "see also" sections or in hatnotes. This is to make it explicit to the reader that the link is to a dab page. This at least is what an RfC decided a few months ago. – Uanfala (talk) 00:04, 17 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
