The 2021 Hawaii Bowl is a college football bowl game that will be played on December 24, 2021, with kickoff scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST (3:00 p.m. local HST) on ESPN.[1] It will be the 19th edition of the Hawaii Bowl (after the 2020 edition was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic), and will be one of the 2021–22 bowl games concluding the 2021 FBS football season. Sponsored by multi-carrier shipping API EasyPost, the game will be officially known as the EasyPost Hawaii Bowl.
Teams
Consistent with conference tie-ins, the game will be played between teams from the Mountain West Conference (MWC) and the American Athletic Conference (AAC or "The American").
Memphis Tigers
Memphis completed their regular season with a 6–6 record, 3–5 in conference play. After winning their first three games, falling to 3–3 and then 5–6, the Tigers defeated Tulane on November 27 to become bowl-eligible. On November 29, Memphis accepted an invitation to the Hawaii Bowl.[2] This is the first Hawaii Bowl appearance for the Tigers.
