Genesis 1:6 is the sixth verse in the first chapter of the Book of Genesis, part of the Genesis creation narrative.

Hebrew	וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים, יְהִי רָקִיעַ בְּתוֹךְ הַמָּיִם, וִיהִי מַבְדִּיל, בֵּין מַיִם לָמָיִם.‎ vayiֹamֶr aֱlֹhִym, yְhִy raqִy'ea biְtvֹkְ hamiayִm, vִyhִy mabְdiִyl, biֵyn mayִm lamayִm.
World English Bible	God said, “Let there be an expanse in the middle of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”
American Standard Version	And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
