Controversy
In October 2018, two women students of Symbiosis Law School alleged that the institute has evicted them from their hostel following a #MeToo post they made complaining about sexual harassment from an assistant professor.[17] Days later, institute officials stated that the teacher has been suspended and that the action taken against the students was unrelated to their post and "following disciplinary misconduct".[18] In February 2019 Maneka Gandhi, the Minister of Women and Child Development, has directed the institute to reinstate the students.[19] However, the controversy pertains.
