Nicholas "Nick" Creegan (born July 30, 1991) is an American actor and journalist best known for his roles on Law & Order: Organized Crime and Batwoman.

Early life and education

Creegan was born in White Plains, New York to an Irish father and a Jamaican mother. His mother is from Jack's River in Saint Mary Parish, Jamaica.[1] He has a younger brother called Tommy.[2] Creegan attended Woodlands High School and graduated in 2009.[3]

Creegan initially planned to do pre-law at the University at Albany, SUNY but he ultimately majored in journalism in stead. There he landed his first role in the university's production of Cruel Intentions.[1] While he grew to love acting, Creegan did not see it as a viable career path, at the time. His other extracurricular actives were solely journalism focused.[4] In addition to working on campus broadcasts, Creegan interned for ESPN in the summer of 2012.[5]

Career

Journalism

After college, Creegan carved out a career for himself as a sports and entertainment journalist. He worked for Fox News before becoming the host of AOL's 2 Point Lead. During his tenure as a journalist, Creegan interviewed sports figures such as Derek Jeter and Alonzo Mourning.[4] He has produced for the Bleacher Report, Vice Media and RYOT.[1]

Acting

In 2018, Creegan was cast in the recurring role of Desmond in OWN's David Makes Man which would mark his television debut.[14] In 2021, he was cast opposite Dylan McDermott and Christopher Meloni in the latest Law & Order spinoff, Organized Crime.[15] In June 2021, Creegan was cast in Nicole Gomez Fisher's Good Egg.[16] On July 26, 2021, it was announced that he had joined the cast of Batwoman as Robin Givens on-screen son.[17] Creegan would become the first Black actor to portray a version of the iconic Joker character through his character, Marquis Jet.[18]
