THE IDOLM@STER (アイドルマスター, Aidorumasutā, pronounced as The Idolmaster) is an arcade game released only in Japan by Namco Bandai on July 26 2005. It is scheduled for release on the Xbox 360 on 25 January, 2007. The game follows the career of a producer who has to work for one of nine prospective pop idols.

Anime

An anime adaptation, titled The Idolmaster Xenoglossia (アイドルマスターXENOGLOSSIA), is set to be produced by Sunrise, and directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai, scripted by Jukki Hanada and featuring character designs by Hiroshi Takeuchi, is scheduled for 2007. Numerous of the Sunrise staff working on XENOGLOSSIA have also previously worked on My-HiME and My-Otome.
