"Haruka" (ハルカ) is a song recorded by Japanese music duo Yoasobi. It was released on December 18, 2020 as a digital single, through Sony Music Japan, and was based on Tsuki Ōji (月王子, lit. "Moon Prince"), a novel by Osamu Suzuki from the Tokyo FM's radio program Jump Up Melodies Top20, which the duo made a guest appearance. An accompanying music video was premiered alongside the single release.[1]
Composition and lyrics
"Haruka" describes about a encounter and farewell, drawn from the perspective of "something" that has watched over the growth of a girl more than anyone else,[2] composed in the key of C♯ major, 100 beats per minute with a running time of 4 minutes and 4 seconds.[3]
