Removed ===Plea bargain controversy===
Hi, I took the liberty to remove the following from the page:
Jamie Cameron, Professor of Law at [[Osgoode Hall Law School|Osgoode Hall]], noted that "at the time of the Homolka trial, three features of the case worried and concerned the public. Little was known about the respective roles Homolka and Bernardo played in their actions and the killing of their victims. By spring, 1993, it was clear that the Crown's case against Bernardo depended on Homolka's evidence. In simple terms, to secure a conviction against him, her story had to be believed. Yet on no view of the facts then known could she be exculpated; by casting her as a victim of his predatory behaviour, her responsibility for the crimes that were committed could be diminished and her credibility as a witness preserved."<ref>{{cite web |url=http://www.justice.gc.ca/en/ps/rs/rep/2003/rr03vic-1/rr03vic-1.pdf |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110706181713/http://www.justice.gc.ca/en/ps/rs/rep/2003/rr03vic-1/rr03vic-1.pdf |dead-url=yes |archive-date=July 6, 2011 |title=Microsoft Word – Word_rr_English.doc |publisher=Justice.gc.ca |date=November 14, 2007 |accessdate=February 13, 2011 }}</ref>
The reason being that the link is dead and therefore none of this is in the citation. Until a citation is provided I think you will agree that this shouldn't be here given that the article is the biography of a living person.
If this was a mistake please feel free to undo the change.
Thank you for your time.

Cleanup 2019
I've endeavored to clean up the portion of this article that chronicles Homolka's time in prison, though it could use some further attention. The timeline should now be mostly sensible, and I've tried to remove the various analysis that was previously dispersed throughout this section into a new section, "Psychoanalysis". I've also entirely removed some "analysis" which was sourced from an opinion columnist who does not appear to have any relevant expertise, which I don't think is appropriate here under BLP. I suspect some other content of this type remains but I haven't the time to look further into it. Walkersam (talk) 07:58, 1 December 2019 (UTC)

Gender of Lynda Véronneau
This article leaves me confused as to Véronneau's gender at various points in the narrative. Véronneau is first described in this article as a "transgender man" and referred to with he/him pronouns. It is mentioned that Homolka did not consider the relationship homosexual because Véronneau identified as a man and planned to undergo sexual reassignment surgery. However, in a later paragraph their relationship is referred to as "lesbian" (in accordance with the source cited), and the sentence on Véronneau's book refers to "her relationship with Homolka" (emphasis mine). Most news sources I can find refer to Véronneau as a woman and use she/her pronouns, with no mention of the transgender aspect. Did Véronneau revert to identifying as a woman at some point? If so, this should be clarified. --Asenecal (talk) 17:44, 6 May 2021 (UTC)
