taking off shoes

In addition to removing shoes (and, perhaps, replacing them with slippers), there is also the common option of shoe covering. In some countries, gyms and hospitals might require people to put plastic coverings over their shoes. 67.209.133.48 (talk) 04:19, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

snow shoe / snowshoe

Why is it 'snow shoe' instead of 'snowshoe'? The linked-to article only uses 'snowshoe.' I don't recall ever having seen the term written as two separate words. (I can't change the article - there is no editing option for it on my screen.) 67.209.133.48 (talk) 04:28, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DISGUSTED: BOOTS ARE NOT SHOES

I HAVE COME TO MAKE A FORMAL COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS DISGRACE OF AN ARTICLE. ON SECTION 3.2, LABELLED 'BOOT' IT READS: "A BOOT IS A SPECIAL TYPE OF SHOE". SHOE?! SHOEEE?!?!?! HOW DARE YOU CALL BOOTS SHOES!!! THIS IS BOOTLASPHEMY OF THE HIGHEST DEGREE AND SHALL NOT BE DEALT WITH LIGHTLY!!! I ORDER AN IMMEDIATE UPDATE TO THIS ARTICLE TO STATE INSTEAD: "A BOOT IS A SUPERIOR AND MUCH MORE TASTY PIECE OF FOOTWEAR WHEN COMPARED TO REPULSIVE SHOES AND IS NOT IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM RELATED TO IT"! ANY REFUSAL TO ACCEPT THIS CHANGE WILL BE TREATED AS BOOTREASON AND WILL PUNISHED BY THE ALMIGHTY BOOT LORD SUFFICIENTLY! CONSIDER THIS A WARNING >:( — Preceding unsigned comment added by Incidius (talkcontribs) 17:12, 20 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
