Sushmita Dev (born 25 September 1972) is a politician and a Rajya Sabha member from West Bengal, she was elected to the Lok Sabha, lower house of the Parliament of India from Silchar, Assam in the 2014 Indian general election as a member of the Indian National Congress.[3] She is the former president of All India Mahila Congress.[1] She lost the 2019 Lok Sabha Election by a huge margin 81596 votes to a BJP candidate Dr Rajdeep Roy.
