Vincent Thomas Keaveny KStJ[1] (born July 1965, Dublin) is a commercial lawyer serving as the 693rd Lord Mayor of London.[2]

Biography

Educated at St Michael's College, University College Dublin, and Trinity College Dublin, Keaveny has, since 1989, lived and worked in England, where he qualified to practice as a solicitor in 1992.[3] He has been a partner in DLA Piper since 2015.[4]

Keaveny has served as alderman for the ward of Farringdon Within since 2013, and served as a Sheriff of the City of London in 2018–19. He is a liveryman of the City of London Solicitors' Company, Worshipful Company of Woolmen, Distillers, Spectacle Makers, Stationers and Newspaper Makers, Framework Knitters, Upholders, and Security Professionals.[2]

In 2018 Keaveny was award the UCD Alumni Award in Law.[5]

Keaveny was elected as the Lord Mayor of London in 2021, and took office on 13 November 2021.[3][4]
