Amele Adefemi Olubunmi D. popularly known as Femi D (born on the 14th of November 1983) is a Nigerian broadcaster and multimedia journalist,who as a teenage developed interest for broadcasting which he described as the most intelligent career. He is a Radio talk show host with his earliest talk shows debuting in 2010 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) Fm, Awka with a focus on the Implications of Diplomatic Decisions of the Government. Femi D is also a web series producer, entrepreneur, a political commentator and a writer,[1][2] his writings have appeared in national dailies including that of Vanguard Newspaper.[3] In 2010,he won a UK grant support to produce a short documentary video, which was later nominated for Climate Change TV Award in 2010, the video was on Climate Change and effects on Lagos metropolis.[3]

In 2011, he joined Cool FM,he also joined 234Next newspaper as a multimedia journalist that same year. He became part of the management team of 101.9 Jay FM in Plateau State as News/Programme Director in 2017.[4] Femi D was named host of the Morning show known as Morning Crossfire with FemiDlive.[5] Currently he signed with Nigeria Info FM-Abuja as the Programmes Manager.[6][7]

He is listed by YNaija as one of the 100 Media Influential personality for 2020.[8] He was nominated for Climate Change TV Awards (2010), recognized by Bayero University as Personality of the year (2012) and a Finalist for Sports Presenter of the Year (2011) by Nigeria Radio Awards.[9] He is also an Honorary member of the Ambassador of the Youth Education and Leadership Initiative (YELI) and Honourable World Class Change Ambassador for Peace and Humanity.[10]

Adefemi Amele also known as Femi D "Dauda" Amele was born November 14, 1983. At age 14, he developed an interest in broadcasting, describing it as the most intelligent career. His talk show began in 2010 at Awka, Anambra State radio station featuring a new format on national and international politics through commentary and listener calls. It was at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) FM, Awka he began as a backup show host for the programme called International Affairs discussing every Friday, the implications of diplomatic decisions of governments around the world. He is listed as one of the 100 Media Influential personality by YNaija for 2020.[11]

He won a UK grant support to produce a short documentary on Climate Change and effects on Lagos metropolis in 2010 and same video was nominated for Climate Change TV Award in 2010. His writing has appeared in national dailies including Vanguard Newspaper.[3]

In 2011, he joined the now defunct 234Next newspaper as a multimedia journalist. In 2011 he joined Cool FM[5] as an On-Air Personality covering sports and current affairs discussions and concurrently working with the first talk radio station in Nigeria, Nigeria Info FM.[10][12] He joined the management team of 101.9 Jay FM as News/Programme Director for Jay FM for the regional broadcast station in Plateau State[4] in 2017.

He is recognized as the personality of the year 2012 from Bayero University, Lagos State Students Association. As well as a finalist for Sports Presenter of the year in 2011 by Nigeria Radio Awards[9] and nominated as Presenter for the year Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) - Kano in 2014. He is also a verified contributor on the Opera News Hub, a global digital news platform. He received a Honorary Doctorate in Conflict Management and Development from YELI International in 2019.

He joined Nigeria Info FM Abuja, a news, talk and sports station as an On Air Personality. Femi D in 2019 was named host of the flagship Morning Show on Nigeria Info Abuja, known as Morning Crossfire with FemiDlive, he brings on a political acumen and news making interviews with leading voices in politics, health, economy and business. In 2020, his shows are streamed on multiple digital platforms including Facebook and Twitter live as part of a move to endear the digital community to the quality of his work. He had previously hosted current affairs talk show on issues of national Interest including politics and news breaking interviews titled Let's Talk with Femi D, a 5 hours weekday talk show on Nigeria Info,[5] 95.1 Abuja.

He is the Programmes Manager for Nigeria Info FM Abuja. He had worked as the Head of station for Amplified Radio,[13] Abuja an online global talk and music station and concurrently serves as the board chairman and Executive Media Officer for GAlpha Media. He is a sought after consultant on the media innovation and multimedia product development.

As a professional he holds certificates from International Business Management Institute[14] (IBMI), Berlin on Strategic Management and a certification in Global Diplomacy - Diplomacy in the modern world from University of London. A certified Operation Management Strategist with Metropolitan School of Business and Management, United Kingdom.

He resides across Lagos, FCT Abuja and Jos, where he broadcasts FemiDlive Show.[15]

His broadcast technique has been described as 'unscripted, unvarnished, thought provoking and decisive' as with Rush Limbaugh[16] and draws a compelling[disambiguation needed] audience in with every broadcast as the King of Talk Radio. His frequent subjects of discussion includes national politics, national policy development, macro-economy, elections, national security, governance and international affairs. He is credited with thought leadership for citizen overview on politics, governance and policy development. He leads several radio shows as a mix of political and social commentary from a progressive and analytical point of view.

He is the recipient of the Guardian, Beacon of Literacy Award 2015 from iRead Project. He is conferred with National Dream Personality Award 2016 by Nigeria Rebirth group in collaboration with the Ministry Of Youth and Sports. Also winner of the Nigeria Broadcasters Merit Award,[17] 2016 for best On Air Personality for an evening show in Northern Nigeria. He is the finalist of the WHO is WHO Awards for Best On Air Personality from public nomination for the year 2017.

As a public speaker, he comments on politics and enjoys teaching Entrepreneurship Communication. In October 2019, a series of written opinion article on Population: A Few More People, Economy and similar subjects have continued to appear in digital news platform Legit ranked by Alexa among the most visited digital news site in Nigeria. He is a verified contributor for Opera News Magazine Nigeria.

He produced an investigative report on Human Rights Violation in Owerri [1][20] following the death of a young boy, Somtochukwu in an extensive report titled #OwerriHumanRights: Somtochukwu died, like the king of a fallen market[21]

He is the conveyor of the speaking event, The Statesman Idea with FemiDlive, an event 'on action inspired thinking for young leaders' to create enlightenment and commitment towards goal achievement for a thinking populace. He is an advisory board member for iRead Nigeria Project.[22] As a film-maker, he has produced and directed several short films including Anything For Us[23] (2018), a story of how public officials interface and solicit for bribe from citizens. He is a 2020 fellow of Nigeria Health Watch, he has produced 2 stories 'Rejected Emergencies' (radio documentary) a story of health emergencies rejected during COVID19 pandemic and A Flu Plan in the Health Sector

The film is part of the #BounceCorruption project of YIAGA Africa and supported by MacArthur Foundation a citizen participation campaign to promote anti-corruption in Nigeria. He is also an activist and social media promoter for #NotTooYoungToRun; a 2016 campaign that advocated for a bill to include young people in the eligibility criteria to run for elective offices in Nigeria. A digital media strategist and business consultant, planning to implementation of Chief Africa and also providing business advisory/content support for Mbele,[24] a social innovation enterprise using technology to foster educational learning for children in Africa.

He produced and directed a 30 minutes video documentary on the platform of Amplified Media[25] titled Facing Vote Buying in Elections as part of preparation for 2019 Election. The documentary was shot in Osogbo, Osun State in August 2018 #NigeriaDecides #OsunDecides . He also co-produced a documentary drug abuse titled, High and Dry.[26] In 2019, he served as co-host for Ready to Run Radio show on Nigeria Info FM Abuja, a show sponsored by YIAGA Africa[27] and European Union for young people in campaigning for electoral positions in Nigeria's 2019 Election, also a 28 minutes documentary on "How Young People Fared in Contesting in 2019 Elections" and aired on Channels TV . He is also a remarkable Voice Over artiste for clients including Independent National Electoral Commission INEC,[28] He is associated as a script producer and narrator for the television produced documentary, Young Lawmakers Credit 'Not Too Young To Run' Law For Their Emergence ready to run as aired on channels television[29] by YIAGA Africa. In 2019 he produced a mini-radio documentary length piece on Beat Air Pollution as part of World Environment Day 2019. He served as a panelist at the Media and Creatives Event in 2019.

He is the founder of VibingLive, a curated music and talk app available on mobile stores. VibingLive has 3 music and talk curated stream called VibingLIVE DJ, Vibing Gospel and Vibing Talk, powered by highly creative Nigeria and African DJs, Gospel Artistes and Podcasters.

In 2021, he spent 6 weeks teaching talk and podcasting curation to young creators in a special programme called ArtVocacy.
