Sekou started his career as a school teacher. Initially he had a little interest in poetry, but took to the stage as a way of showcasing his talent. Sekou Andrews is an American actor, writer, producer and innovator of “Poetic Voice”.[1][2]

Sekou Andrews has been performing spoken word poetry for 17 years and won two National Poetry Slams and nominee of 2020 Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album.[3] he has also performed for the Barack Obamas in Oprah Winfrey’s back yard.[4]

He is also the founder of 7-figure company on poetry named "SekouWorld".[5]

Career

Sekou started his career as a school teacher. Initially he had a little interest in poetry, but took to the stage as a way of showcasing his talent.
