In the introduction the length of the epos is compared to other religious texts from the India and the Ancient Greece. Why not add that it is 4 times longer than the Bible (OT+NT) and x times longer than the Quran? |
|||
The Swedish Wiki page contains this fascinating tidbit. Few people can readily grasp the voluminous text by comparing it to the Iliad or other Indian texts. |

Historicity
I think it is time to create an entirely new page dedicated to the Historicity of the Mahabharata. We have Historicity of the Homeric epics. Why not such a page for something 8x larger? ChandlerMinh (talk) 15:57, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
- ChandlerMinh, its required, but you can create that yourself. Why ask someone else. I wonder why no one has created it till now.--2409:4073:30A:9DC6:4C47:FBB9:8A80:E55F (talk) 12:07, 16 October 2021 (UTC)

According to Hindu mythology Mahabharat was composed by rishi ved vyas and written by Shri Ganesha Source: Mahabharat epic — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2409:4055:312:2609:0:0:F61:C0A4 (talk) 03:44, 19 October 2021 (UTC)
- From this very article:
The first section of the Mahābhārata states that it was Ganesha who wrote down the text to Vyasa's dictation, but this is regarded by scholars as a later interpolation to the epic and the "Critical Edition" doesn't include Ganesha at all.

I want to change a paragraph under the Synopsis section with the header "The Pandava and Kauravas Princes:"
"Change Dhritarashtra has a hundred sons through Gandhari, all born after the birth of Yudhishthira. to
Dhritarashtra has a hundred sons and one daughter Dushala through Gandhari, all born after the birth of Yudhishthira. These are the Kaurava brothers, the eldest being Duryodhana, and the second Dushasana. "
