It is housed in the old Markos mill, adjacent to the city walls of [[Veroia]] in [[Central Macedonia]], [[Greece]], on the boundary of the listed quarter of Kyriotissa. The museum's founding mission is to make known the monuments in Veroia and the surrounding area, which date from [[Byzantine Greece|Byzantine]] and [[Ottoman Greece|Post-Byzantine]] times, to make the traditions of the area known, and to collaborate with other Byzantine museums in Macedonia to organize periodic exhibitions.
