Also notable is their track team's long history of success at the city and provincial levels. Many players on the [[Ottawa 67's]] attend Hillcrest during the season as well.

Hillcrest has a university Advanced Placement program, which is a method of extending classroom learning through activities and travel; a co-curricular program; and a computer technology program in information management. The school is also involved in the community; students raise money for the [[Canadian Cancer Society]] every year.
