The original Brockley Whins station, on the York Newcastle & Berwick line from Newcastle to Sunderland had only had a platform on the down line. This meant upline trains crossing over to allow passengers to alight. This single line working arrangement resulted in a fatal collision and the building of a second platform originally some distance from the other, as well as changes to the law. |

Brockley Whins Metro station is on the Tyne and Wear Metro Green Line. It serves the Brockley Whins area of South Tyneside, England.
