Varinder Singh Ghuman is an Indian professional bodybuilder and wrestler from India.[2][1][3] Ghuman has won Mr. India in 2009 and he was awarded 2nd place in Mr. Asia.[1] He has been hired by Arnold Schwarzenegger for promoting his health products in Asia as his brand ambassador.[1][3] He appears in the 2012 Punjabi film Kabaddi Once Again as lead actor,[1][3] and in the 2014 film Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans.[4] Varinder is the first Indian bodybuilder to secure the IFBB pro card.[5] He is the world's first vegetarian professional bodybuilder.[1] He made his Hindi film debut with Marjaavaan in 2019.[6][3] Ghuman is from Gurdaspur an elite Punjabi caste in India.[7]
