K C Palanisamy(born 7 December 1959 Chennimalai Erode District) also popularly known as KCP, Studied BE Agri in Tamil Nadu Agriculture University. Mr. K C Palanisamy is an Indian politician and former member of the Parliament of India Tiruchengode constituency (which is now spread across the Erode, Namakkal and Salem District). He represented the Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party and also is the Former Member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Kangeyam Constituency. In 1972, when Dr. MGR started AIADMK Party, he joined as a party member at the age of 13. In 1983 he was appointed as Deputy Secretary at the age of 23 by Dr. MGR for MGR'S Youth wing of ADMK in Coimbatore District. Two years later, he was selected as a candidate for MLA for Kangeyam Legislative Thiruppur District. He won the election with a vote difference of around 16,000 and became the youngest person to be seated as MLA in Tamil Nadu, at the age of 25. In 1989, he became the Member of Parliament Tiruchengode Constituency by winning the election with highest vote difference across south India.
Biography
Mr. K C Palanisamy was born on 7th December 1959 in Chennimalai Erode District. He was introduced to active politics by the late and lamented Bharat Ratna Dr. M.G. Ramachandran a.k.a MGR. At the age of 9 year K C Palanisamy met Dr. MGR and got highly influenced by the mission and vision Dr. MGR had for his party. When in 1972 Dr. MGR started AIADMK party, the 13 year old K C Palanisamy took membership and joined the newly formed AIADMK party under MGR leadership. Later in 1982 Dr. MGR appointed K C Palanisamy as the Deputy District Secretary, Youth Wing, Coimbatore Urban District. In the year 1984, Mr. K C Palanisamy got elected to Legislative Assembly from Kangeyam constituency in Thiruppur District as the official candidate of AIADMK. In the year 1989, K C Palanisamy stood in Assembly election from Tiruchengode under the guidance of Puratchi Thalaivi AMMA Dr. J.Jayalalitha and won with the second highest number of vote difference in India and the highest number in Tamil Nadu. Mr. K C Palanisamy had a great chance and opportunity to work closely with both Dr. MGR & Amma to strengthen the party. When in 2016 Amma passed away Sasikala was appointed as General Secretary by General Council. Mr. K C Palanisamy opposed this decision with election council and stated General Secretary should be elected by cadres as MGR and Amma’s will. Mr. KCP had always followed and fought for the will of Late. Dr. MGR & Amma Dr. Jayalalitha: Leader by cadre following MGR and Amma’s will Party should be beyond cast, religion and corruption AIADMK should protect the rights of Tamil Nadu and Tamil people when it becomes necessity On the lines of Dr.MGR and Amma strengthen party to fight against DMK and BJP
Early Life and Education
In his early school days K C Palanisamy got motivated and inspired by Late. Dr. MGR‘s mission and vision. At his age of 9years KCP met MGR during the bi election campaign for Perundurai constituency. This was the point where K C Palanisamy realized that he has to follow the paths of Dr. MGR and had the ability to formulate opinions and views about society. Since that day Mr. K C Palanisamy has been following the path which Late. Dr. MGR and Amma showed him.
