Abd al-Rahman al-Maghrebi whose real name his Muhammad Abbatay, is a senior member of al-Qaeda, he held many positions for the organization such as head of al-Qaeda in Afganistan and Pakistan in 2012, he ran Sahab media establishment, and then he took charge of al-Qaeda internation activities in Iran, he is a son in law of Ayman al-Dhawahiri, in January, the department of State offered a reward of up to $7 million for information on Muhammad Abbatay, better known as Abd al-Rahman al-Maghrebi.
