Yesterday you removed images from Kyle_Justin claiming they were improperly used fair use images. The images were GFDL-licensed, and the license was granted by a person you have been in conflict with. You provided no basis for concluding the license was invalid. == Clint Catalyst == |
Why would you add this when (1) mere attendance at a wedding is at best trivial and not important and (2) based on a source that doesn't mention him at all? I've removed it. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 03:02, 19 May 2009 (UTC) |

"There was a pause in the action for speeches from the best man, maid of honor and author Clint Catalyst, who waxed lyrical. ("Jessicka and Christian's union is an integral part of an ancient umbilical cord, connecting multi-talented musicians to visual artists to writers to performers to designers, in a symbiotic relationship that academics of future days will pigeonhole as a 'movement. . ." |
That quote is on the last page. |
He didn't just attend, he gave a speech about a certain LA movement that was gathered. |
Even though there's an obvious bias here, the wedding in question was an event that brought together an eclectic group of of artists, musicians, models, and photographers in LA. It's definitely worth a mention in my opinion. |
And no matter how much everybody wants me to be, I am NOT Xtian1313. |
I just logged into a computer here that he had not logged out of. Doesn't matter I am not him. Nor am I his wife. I'd like to log in as an actual user but I fear that the articles I have the most knowledge about, I won't be allowed to edit. I am trying to help articles not blank sections because I have some bias against them. |
Look at my history you'll see I am trying to be helpful. |

:Also this place is supposed to be for everybody. All I am doing is trying to set the record straight. I find articles. I add references. I don't understand why what I do isn't constructive and what users like Hullaballoo Wolfowitz does is not destructive? |
Why are is he attacking a certain group of LA artists' pages over and over? Why is that ok? |
Basically, I want help. Not just another admin siding with somebody because they know more about wiki then I do about wiki policy. |

: First, see WP:OUTING. Second, see Wikipedia:AN#COI_User:Hullaballoo_Wolfowitz. Third, I don't know why, but I also have an issue with that group of LA artists if it looks like they are bringing in friends, editors, and the like to make their articles into basically MySpace pages. Regardless of his attitude, for the most part, he's right on policy grounds, and it would be nice if people would discuss that instead of personal attacks, on both sides. Fourth, as to the source, a one-line mention isn't that much, and please don't describe it as a "certain LA movement...brought together an eclectic group of of artists, musicians, models, and photographers in LA." I know you don't edit outside of a very small set of articles, but in the grand scheme of the entire encyclopedia, a single wedding done in Los Angeles is not notable or significant (and his speech is not either), and this is from a guy who lives in LA and knows the scene. Not being a jerk here, but all those articles are full of people who discuss these individuals in such grandiose terms which looks completely nonsensical and frankly ridiculous to people who edit in the full encyclopedia. Look at my talk page alone, the last few articles I was working on include Rachel Corrie, ǀXam and ǂKhomani heartland, Judicial corporal punishment. I think that's clear why some people have issues with these articles when fans seem intend of ignoring policies which govern 2 million articles and berating everyone who doesn't agree why these people are so special. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 03:52, 19 May 2009 (UTC) |
Wow. Ok. that was harsh. Can you not even admit that you were wrong and the LA Times article mentions Catalyst, you said it didn't? |
I answered your question in a nice way. Like I said the wedding wasn't just a wedding and was written up in the LA Times and a lot of other places. It's my opinion that this group of people is notable,(not special) I'm sorry that you and User:Hullaballoo_Wolfowitz think they are ridiculous. I wonder if Andy Warhol in his time looked ridiculous to people who didn't get. I'm not trying to fight with you. I'm trying to be an adult here. |
I am not berating anybody. I don't even want to deal with User:Hullaballoo_Wolfowitz but he gives me no choice. He's trying to out Xtian1313 as me and I can't sit back. I am just re-adding blanked sections when I find the references. Why is that so different then what User:Hullaballoo_Wolfowitz is doing? Is it because I'm not as versed with wiki-speak and policy that he can be bias? |
I'd like to start editing other articles, maybe if people her weren't so harsh then I could learn. |
Look, I'm new on so many levels. I don't want to fight here. I really don't. |

"a single wedding done in Los Angeles is not notable or significant (and his speech is not either)" |
Isn't it when it's covered by the LA Times and many many many publications? |
Also who am I outing? |
I don't want to be outed hence why I don't have a name. |
Xtian1313 did not out me. I'm confused. |

: You aren't outing anyone. That was in response to your question on my talk page about how to discuss your concerns about Hullaballoo. As for the wedding, we can discuss that further on the talk page if you wish. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 04:32, 19 May 2009 (UTC) |
