Rejection of Lake Lohja (disambiguation)

Hi Kylie - you rejected my proposed disambiguation page Lake Lohja (disambiguation) with the comment "Only one exists". I just want to clarify what you meant by this. Two distinct articles (plus one redirect page) do already exist, not to mention two lakes in the real world.

• Lake Lohja (Finland) - redirects to Lohjanjärvi
• Lake Lohja (Estonia)

Is it because I jumped the gun and put the new name in for the second page, before I'd renamed it?

• Hi Joepearson, yes when I reviewed Lake Lohja (Estonia) did not exists. I would suggest just turning Lake Lohja into the disambiguation page rather than call it Lake Lohja (disambiguation) and as you are the only author of Draft:Lake Lohja (disambiguation) no attribution will be lost of you just update Lake Lohja. I have restructured the article, and added references to some very credible sources. Forbes, Mail and Guardian, and a local News site. This is a first-of-its-kind project n Africa. I have a list of publications we are linked to. Would it help our cause to list all the publications as well as a whitepaper we have crafted?

• Hi Gareth Beyers all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). Currently only one of the sources appears to mention Africarare. So it's not just showing notability that is lacking but sources in general. Also note that articles related to General sanctions/Blockchain and cryptocurrencies are under Wikipedia:General sanctions. • Hi The Young Prussian there is Wikipedia:Requested articles however there are tons of requests so unlikely to be picked up - see Wikipedia:Requested articles/music/Songs for how many song requests already exist. There is also Wikipedia:WikiProject Metal where you could ask for help/advice. All new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). In this case look at WP:NSONG. The first thing to do with any new article is just to find enough sources to show notability, if you can't then that is the time to stop, if you can start by adding as simple as possible. Taking long time get to approve re submitted article

@KylieTastic you recently declined my article. Now i corrected something and resubmitted it. My problem is when i submit my article first time reviewed it fastly (nearly in 4 hours after submitting). • Hi Abdullah Rifath unfortunately there is a very large backlog, currently 2357. All reviewers are volunteers and as such come and go. New articles are often checked fairly quickly for issues like copyright, promotion, attack pages etc but after that they just become part of the backlog. Some reviewers work from the oldest, some at random and some on topic of interest and expertise, so it's just a waiting game. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 08:19, 22 August 2022 (UTC)

  Hi Abdullah Rifath, sorry but to be fair to all submitters I don't review/re-review on request, I just pick new and old submissions at random, so it may or may not be myself who reviews it next. Also its good to have different reviewers to stop it being a 1-v-1. There are help links on the decline notice "Where to get help" section, and also the Wikipedia:Teahouse where lots of experienced editors answer questions. First see WP:NSCHOOL and WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES. Basically schools are not inherently notable and requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS).
