On the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, 20% of 25 reviews are positive, with an average rating of 4.00/10. The critical consensus reads, Horror fans seeking effective frights will almost certainly feel Abandoned by this well-cast but deeply disappointing haunted house story.[4]
Alexander Harrison from Screen Rant rate the film 2 out 5 and wrote;
"Abandoned has a few things in its favor, but a disappointing conclusion obscures them while making the movie's flaws even more prominent."[5]
