Not a big deal - but the legacy of Mother Love Bone is in no way overshadowed by Pearl Jam or Temple of the Dog. I am not a big Pearl Jam fan - but Pearl Jam is probably the one thing that has really kept the memory of Andrew Wood and Mother Love Bone alive all these years.

There is many stories of bands that almost made it - but didnt because of something tragic. Mother Love Bone is remembered because of Temple of the Dog - and what one of the back up singers from that album, Gossard, and Ament went on to do after - no Pearl Jam - and Mother Love Bone would only by remembered as the answer to a trivia question about the movie "Singles."

This last paragraph is utterly ridiculous. Mother Love Bone are featured also in the movie Say Anything, the Malfunkshun 2CD+DVD set with the movie "The Andrew Wood Story" just came out which is the second time the Malfunkshun discography has been reissued, there legacy is not overshadowed by anything "for some" and that statement doesn't belong in an encyclopaedia as it's completely someone's POV which is why there isn't a citation on it. The explosion of the Seattle scene allowed EVERYONE that was listening to alternative at the time to learn about Mudhoney, Screaming Trees, Malfunkshun, Mother Love Bone, Green River, etc., and Mother Love Bone the 2CD release was very popular. I removed the following sentence, which I believe to be wholly incorrect:

I don't believe grunge had anything whatsoever to do with glam! Grunge was more like slowed down metal, and eschewed the fancy clothes, prancing and preening associated with glam. Beve 23:39, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

So why are MLB lumped in with 'Grunge' here, just because they're from Seattle and because two of the band later joined Pearl Jam?
