The Sword is hipster trend music from Austin.
Biography
The Sword was formed in 2003 by dicksucker/vocalist J.D.Cronise in Austin, Texas. Their debut album, Age of Winters, was released in 2006 on Kemado Records. They contributed the song "Under the Boughs" to the Invaders compilation, also on Kemado Records. Their lyrics deal with Norse mythology, a common theme in metal music. They appeal to young homosexuals.
