Amrita Hospital is a private hospital in Faridabad, India. It is the largest private multi-specialist hospital in Asia, and was inaugurated by Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi.[1][2][3][4][5] It has 2,600 beds, 81 specialities, 64 fully-networked modular operation theatres[6] and smart ICUs with 534 critical care beds[7] and a helipad on the roof.[8][9] It is one of the largest hospitals by capacity.[10] It is affliated to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Amrita University) school of medicine.[11]
Construction
The hospital has an area of 3.6 million square feet.[12] It has nursing colleges and college for Allied Health Sciences and has a seven-storey research block and eight centres of excellence. The price of construction was estimated to be 600 billion rupees.[13][14][15]
Inauguration
The hospital was inauguarted by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and facilitated by Mata Amritanandamayi in the presence of Chief minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar and Governer of Haryana Bandaru Dattatreya.[16] Standford Medical school prof Dr. Michael Snyder was also keynote speaker in the event.[17][18]
