I am currently a PhD candidate, studying economics. My research interests lie broadly in empirical microeconomics, particularly in industrial organization.

I mainly joined Wikipedia to edit the economics pages. Unfortunately, the economics pages seem quite underdeveloped, especially relative to other fields, such as statistics. (The many probability distribution pages have saved me hours and hours) In particular, with the (justified) advent of Wikipedia as a common knowledge base, users have realized that editing it is a great way to promote fringe viewpoints as if they have the authority of established ones. (For example, does this category really need to be so big? Do we really think all these people are notable? It drives me a little nuts that researchers with tons of citations for doing pathbreaking work have less developed entries than people whose claim to fame is a byline at mises.org.) I've tried to do a bit of minor cleanup where I can, trying to use my small amount of time wisely.
