The killing of Jim Matthews was the killing of WWJ-AM anchor Jim Matthews.
Jim Matthews
Jim Matthews was the overnight news anchor at Detroit's WWJ radio. He had held that position for seven years. He was 57 years old at the time of his death.[1]
Killing
On September 23, 2022, Matthews was reportedly bludgeoned to death with a hammer at his home in Chesterfield Township, Michigan. Matthews' girlfriend, Nicole Guertin, and their two children, ages five and ten, were also reportedly injured in the attack. A fifth individual was discovered in the basement. [2][3][4]
