The definition of safeword that is given says it's a word bottoms can use. It can, and should, be used by tops just as much. |
|||
I'd like to propose an adjustment to that definition. [[Special:Contributions/2003:E2:F746:1095:10C6:BF92:B147:60B3|2003:E2:F746:1095:10C6:BF92:B147:60B3]] ([[User talk:2003:E2:F746:1095:10C6:BF92:B147:60B3|talk]]) 17:58, 12 October 2022 (UTC) |

- Can someone motion for this article to be deleted?
- My confusion started when I tried to use Template:Transwiki like Wikibooks:Template:Transwiki, to mark the article for transwiki. Since the template read as if I had already transwikied the page, I transwikied the page to Wiktionary and left Template:Transwiki on this Wikipedia article. With my template gone, I do not know what my next step would be.

This page has been transwikied to Wiktionary. The article has content that is useful at Wiktionary. Therefore the article can be found at either here or here (logs 1 logs 2.) Note: This means that the article has been copied to the Wiktionary Transwiki namespace for evaluation and formatting. It does not mean that the article is in the Wiktionary main namespace, or that it has been removed from Wikipedia's. Furthermore, the Wiktionarians might delete the article from Wiktionary if they do not find it to be appropriate for the Wiktionary. Removing this tag will usually trigger CopyToWiktionaryBot to re-transwiki the entry. This article should have been removed from Category:Copy to Wiktionary and should not be re-added there. |

unreferenced
I've added the unreferenced template because some claimed BDSM terms link to pages that have no association with BDSM, others link to BDSM-related pages that don't use the term in question and many link to pages that are themselves unreferenced.

Subbing and topping
Perhaps we should make clear that sub and top can also be used in verb form. (the mind reels with jokes I can make here, but I have to restrain myself) Wikidemon (talk) 18:07, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
Why was Contract (BDSM) deleted?
@NickPenguin: I noticed that you recently deleted the contents Contract (BDSM) and redirect that page into this glossary. Was there any previous discussion about this decision? Jarble (talk) 00:34, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- It appears that this was previously discussed here: Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Contract_(BDSM) Jarble (talk) 00:35, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- If it's a problem, then please revert. I have no particular attachment to that decision. --NickPenguin(contribs) 04:22, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Pictures of men?
Is there a reason there are only pictures of women in this article? Can anyone add some pictures of men? - Whisperjanes (talk) 14:38, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
Exactly what I thought. I’m sure there is plenty of material to choose from as well. It seemed a little tone-deaf. Blankthropologist (talk) 16:40, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
- If you have any suggestions of images to add, feel free to be bold. Browsing this area of Commons brings up an unpleasant amount of low-quality and/or pornographic images, but I was able to find some images in Commons:Category:Male submission which may be appropriate here. Leaning towards photographs which aren't explicitly nude or sexual, per WP:SURPRISE.

"Brat"
I'm sorry to post this under my IP address, but I don't want everybody to know about my interest in this.
At Fetlife, I repeatedly came across people describing themselves as "brats", apparently after taking an online BDSM test. What does this mean? If Fetlifers habitually use it, it's probably a common concept in BDSM, but it's absent from this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.82.228.240 (talk) 00:00, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
Otázka
Dobrý večer. Moje otázka zní co znamená v oblasti BDSM název FO? A kde bych mohla nakoupit větší vyber sortimentu v tomto fascinujicim odvětví?. Děkuji mnohokrát za odpověď. 2A00:1028:8398:1D8A:55E1:8379:E8AD:7BEE (talk) 17:59, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
Why are terms for punishment missing?
I came here mainly to find out Spanish words for BDSM (by comparing the English- and Spanish-language articles) but I noticed a curious thing: All terms for punishment seem to be omitted. And yet there's a picture (the first picture in the current article) of subs being spanked (and the term "spank" is excluded from this list). All such words seem to have been omitted (caning, spanking, paddling, shipping, etc.). I checked and they seem to have been missing from the original, so I guess they are literally missing because no one has added them. But I wondered why? I thought that maybe "spank" is such a common word that it doesn't need to be on this list of mostly fairly specialized words. But I think "bondage," "masochism," and "slave" are pretty common terms that are on the list. And I think there are punishment-related terms that are uncommon (in the US) like "tawse" and "murga" (or "stress position"). So, after giving it some thought, I think that it is an error to have omitted all such terms and that they should be added. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.57.100.137 (talk) 23:24, 10 October 2022 (UTC)
- What you are calling "punishment" is indeed here in this item:
- * Impact play: Part of sensation play, dealing with impacts such as those from whips, riding crops, paddles, floggers, etc.
- I do find it curious that you equate only this with "punishment" because quite a few other items in the glossary have been used for actual punishment. Helen4780 (talk) 15:05, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
