चंदला नगर छतरपुर जिले का एक नगर है! महोबा के वीर योद्धा बनाफर राजपूत क्षत्रिय आल्हा जी के पुत्र इंदल हुए! इंदल जी के पुत्र उदयभान सिंह बनाफर ने 12वी सताब्दी में चंदला नगर की स्थापना की थी! महोबा के चंदेल राजाओं के राज्य मे होने के कारण ''चंदेल शब्द का अप्रभंस शब्द चंदला "नाम पडा। आल्हा जी के वंशजों का क्षेत्र कहलाता है! चंदला के बनाफर राजपूत क्षत्रियों को 25गांव की जागीर प्राप्त है।

Chandla is a town and a nagar panchayat in Chhatarpur district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India.

Geography

Chandla is located at 25°05′N 80°12′E / 25.08°N 80.2°E / 25.08; 80.2.[1] It has an average elevation of 177 metres (580 feet). It is hilly and located on the bank of Ken river.
