La Ligera Cup
The top 8 teams will qualify for the Ligera Cup, a rule which was established in the 2036/37 season. There will be no draw, but instead an automatic qualification for which teams that face each other. 1st will take on 4th, 2nd will take on 8th, 3rd will take on 7th, and 5th will take on 6th.
Relegation
The bottom three teams will be relegated to the second division.
Second Division
Promotion
Since there is no third division, the bottom teams will not be relegated, but instead will just remain in the division. The top 3 teams will be promoted to the first division, replacing the relegated teams in the succeeding season.
Schedule
In both divisions, all teams will player each other twice, which means there will be 38 matchweeks in total. Usually the season starts in October and ends in July, but that may vary.
History
Obscure era
The 2022/23 season was the original founding date of La ligera, but the first match and the rest of the fixtures were unknown. PSG were the inaugural champions, with Manchester City right below them. This kickstarted the obscure era, where little information was recorded about La Ligera. This time period would span 15 years, until the 2038/39 season.
